After last night's 154-141 victory over the Indiana Pacers, Washington Wizards head coach Scott Brooks called Russell Westbrook the second-best point guard in NBA history behind Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson. Westbrook scored 14 points, but also racked up 21 rebounds and 24 assists. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe discuss Brooks' comments and share each of their choices as the second greatest point guard of all time.

@@realabbzzy8856 This has nothing to do with IQ, westbrook being the best assistmaker is a proof that he has a high IQ, because go be a great playmaker you need good vision, reflex, spacial awarness, decision making ect, and all of these things are what we call basketball IQ. So westbrook has a very high IQ, he is just not very efficient in his shooting and i think don’t handle the pressure, but his IQ is very high believe me, making 24assists in 1 game is only somthing guys like Magic, Nash, Oscar, Doncic, Lebron can do, even Lebron record is « only » 19 assists and he is considered one of the best playmaker ever ...

Just as dominant as Wilt was for centers at the time was Oscar as a PG. And one stat that will never be broken again by Oscar...... finishing top 3 in the league in true shooting % for 10 consecutive seasons (his first 10 btw)..... a scoring champ, several assist titles, 6x over 30 PPG, the original Mr. Triple Double, a champion, and even the Bucks with Kareem and Dandridge fell out of the playoff picture after Oscar retired... the Royals/Kings couldnt even make the postseason from the time Oscar left until after he was retired... the highest win shares in his peak among PGs alltime by far, even on subpar casts which truly says more to his value and the lackluster management in Cincinnati at the time (they had a guy who openly admitted he knew nothing about basketball prior to the job hired as GM)..... can't take away from the Big O when he was never in great situations, and he made the most of what he had left in him in Milwaukee...... Bottom line: impressive that your point guard can rebound, but in stronger teams they have centres and forwards who take care of that. The problem with Russ is his blunders are almost as amazing as his accomplishments sometimes. That's what people keep forgetting and why he doesn't get the same respect as some of the other greats.

Give Russ props. He changed his game to fit the Wizards. He isn't the ballhog who gets frustrated and tries to shoot his way out shooting slumps like he was before. Now Russ has evolved to PG his team needs. That's maturity into a team captain. He has pumped up the energy of the Wizards.
