Here's the difference: Zion still feels like a rookie, while Luka feels like a veteran. You can easily forget that Luka's is young and often compare him to the veterans instead. He isn't as good as Lebron yet, but Lebron wouldn't be embarrassed to lose a game or two against Luka every now and again. Luka somehow became a made man within 2 years. Zion is still proving himself. Zion might catch up, but potential isn't the same as being proven.

They would definitely win a ton of games but that doesn't elevate Zion necessarily. He's a sidekick in that scenario. Zion might one day be better than Luka but that day ain't here yet.

Right now, it’s Luka. Love his playstyle. I also love Zion, so Skip isn’t entirely wrong going with Zion based off potential, because when he gets it together.....that’ll be a sight to see. He already is unstoppable under the basket. Luka is something else right now though.

Luka was putting up All Star numbers at the age of 19. Look at his stats, he was literally the best 19 year old in NBA history. I'm not saying that he'll have a better career than great young players like Kobe or KG, who were the best young guys prior. But this isn't close.
