Skipping Record Player Through Guitar Pedals ??? How does it sound?

Some experimenting with a "prepared record player" (Tape on the record causing the record to skip) passed through some cheap guitar pedals I have at home.
Got some quite interesting results.
Pedals Used :
Donner - Ultimate Compressor
Behringer - Ultra Metal
Cadine - 10 Band eq
Nuix - Chorus
Joyo-Digital Delay
I used this technique as part of an experimental piece involving prepared instruments a few months back. Check it out on my channel.

Adam, could you offer a tutorial Describing what is happening with your effects setup, How you were modulating the sound, and what do you record it sounded like without any effect on it?

Adam Alcock Unfortunate you don't still have it, but that does give me a strong reference to start on! Interesting. Next for me will be exploring why these pedals behave as they do. Your non traditional setup was VERY inspiring, and I've been hard pressed to find anyone else attempting anything like this. Thank you for the reply and your time =]

Great stuff how do you connect the turntable to the pedals? Is it via a preamp and regular RCA cables? Thanks!

Thanks for looking checking these vids out! I went into ableton via RCA>Jack and then out of one of the outputs on my sound card to the pedals. Then back into a fresh channel with the effected sound.

Hello! I just put little pieces of paper or tape on the record. I tied the tone arm still with a piece of string to stop it from gravitating in towards the middle of the record player.

@@kmolloy7046 the string stops it moving inwards past maybe one or two grooves. Just get little stickers and stick them on the record is the easiest.
