Skipping The Skateboard Kid, Jerome "The Kid/Skater Boy" Johnson (Natla's Mines, Tomb Raider 1)

Here I show you how to avoid triggering the skateboard kid (Jerome Johnson) in Tomb Raider 1 Natla's Mines. This glitch takes a few seconds and therefore isn't advisable to speedrunners but could help out people who are trying No Damage Runs/No Scratch Runs or No Kills Runs.
I actually showed this in my Secrets No Kills Run for TR1 Natla's Mines but thought it deserved a video of its own.
This means that the only unavoidable enemy in this level is the cowboy with magnums and even he might be skippable somehow. The shotgun guy is obviously skippable if you take the route at the end with the annoying door.

There are many invisible triggers in the game. If you bypass one that activates a Wolf without activating it and go to the Wolf. You will see it literally lying down there. It also has a getting up animation but we cant see these normally in the game. Since By the time we reach them they will be running and attacking us. I wonder why did make those animations

How was it intended for you to do this section (no cheats playthrough) . I have arrived here with only the shotgun (2 shells). So I can't kill him, and the shotgun was in a secret area which means it's possible to get here with no weapons at all. So I'm guessing it was intended that you run past him? same as I had to run past the cowboy man?

Yes it's possible to complete the level without weapons. Just more difficult.

The action at 0:19-0:20 is considered to be a glitch. This action is needed in order to avoid the trigger spot for the Skateboard Kid. So this would be classed as a glitch.
