I originally watched this video way back when it first released. I was still in school, had picked up 7 Days to Die to play with a friend when we weren't on Grand Theft Auto. Recently picked the game up again due to the 1.0 release to play with the same dude. I asked him if he remembered "that video where the guy spends the first night on a roof" and have spent the best part of a week looking at videos from around the time trying to find it. I'm out of school now (obviously), with a fiancée and living life better than I thought I ever would. Watching this back weirdly brought a lot back. Glad to see you're still posting videos, I'll probably be watching through a few of them since after 8 years I still absolutely suck at this game. I know this is random and will probably not be seen, but just felt like i had to comment something for old times' sake.

When you're in a big town also, what I've discovered is that one of the houses in the town had a flooded basement which I use to collect for my water supply... just a helpful tip so you don't fret :)

I think finding water is a very difficult task. Sure, you can just settle down near a river or something, but it's hard enough LOOKING for water in the first place.

I kept dying in a world from thirst over and over because I couldn't find a river and was having to journey farther and farther away which took up my time. I had every thing else and my house was fortified but I just struggled to get water.

You don't have to destroy the ladder, a wood frame above the ladders will work ( at least it works on PC) and you can leave it a wood frame so you can pick it up when you wish to leave.

One of the best gem games I ever got in my 38 years of gaming. Was so glad when I got this for 10$ on a steam sale a few years back. Just found out it was also available on my Ps4 so went to Amazon to preorder a physical copy. If you LIKE/ENJOY the survival aspect of the zombie apocalypse games this game may be something you adore. Always getting updated as well. Very fun no b.s guide very well done and thank you for spotlighting this criminally underrated game so few never heard of or get to enjoy.

@@evan5787 The base game is fun but it is a game meant to be co op on plus as Finnish said above the PS4 never got updates on the game this may have changed now that the original publishers got the rights back you will have to look that up on forums or news sites n such. It is a cheap game to buy now, but until I knew for sure if it was updated on ps4 Id say only get this for pc

I'm on PS4 and am playing split-screen on my channel, the games had a few updates so you shouldn't have any issues now. I occasionally get booted out of the game but that might be a problem with the disc.

I doubt anyone will care but the best way to me to keep zombies from climbing ladders is to bust out the bottom ladder(the one touching the floor), you'll have to jump up to the ladder to climb it after but it keeps them from climbing...

I generally gather 1000 small stone wood and plant fibers and wait out the night crafting stone axes, thats also a way to get tool quality to at least Fine or Great.

I just found out that you can hover over the inventory icon when in it, you can sort your inventory meaning you can keep track of everything you have, same thing when looking in a storage box or anything else

FYI when you first play you'll get frustrated because I did but now that I got the hang of it more I enjoy it more. Go to the forest by the corn field its the best spot avoid the desert and snow until you have better stuff

on the ladder just knock out the bottom rung zombies can't jump and you can use it over and over. For xtra security you can also knock out the bottom steps on the stairway.

3 years is nothing for development for a game, cod takes 2 years each to make, both with studios of 1000's of programmers. so "forever" is actually pretty fucking short for a team of 8. you're also watching a ps4 video, google is also a great tool, or you can even go tot he steam community page, or the news page to see the development of it.

It was just basic objectives. to get you started. Use the nighttime to go through your crafting menus and look at recipes from different items :) You'll see better tools and such. Keep watching, This is a series

If you come across several cabins search them for cooking pots. it's my nº1 loot to find.

ASMRtist it's very possible and most people prefer to do that instead of going strait into a horde but it takes a lot of time and resources so start off in a prefab or building like he is then make frames and upgrade them and you can add any kind of spikes or bars or anything really please repley and like if I helped or if you need more info hit me up with a repley

I wish you would have slowed it down and showed how to actually upgrade the wood frames. I'm just 5 mins in the game and I'm caught out in the open at night... Didn't matter, I ended up losing my bottled water by accidentally dropping it and not finding it. I managed to survive the night and then in the morning I was mauled by a bear and a dog and died. Lesson learned.

Hey skippy do you know about the TD5 Terrain rewrite issue? I have had this happen two times once one day 14 and once on day 3. On x box 1 I have built a nice base and game crashed when i launched back in half my base completely vanished all my loot chests in that area r gone. Do you know any way around if you have experienced this I'm desperate for a work around game is basically unplayable now.
