18:14 the reason why riptide flies further in a shallow pool more than a deep one is because when the player entity uses the enchantment fully underwater the water block above him slows his momentum. this is the case when doing water clutches or falling from a distance into floating water then onto the ground. you get slowed down a bit and lose momentum

Higher levels of riptide don't make you go farther, they make the boost effect longer. So moving through as little water as possible, ensures you move the farthest.

The reason that using riptide in a deep pool is worse then a shallow one is becouse the game counts it from your feet and because moving in water is slower then in air the extra block of water will slow you down making it so that you wont go as high

The game still needs a beefy cpu, but it’s like a more efficient version of Java Minecraft + optifine with the GPU load split options on, which means even a low end GPU and CPU can run the game great.
