I'm really enjoying this series. And I am so glad you do it in metric. I have Blueprint (Craftsy) drafting classes but it is all in inches which I find so confusing. And I am always converting...and making mistakes.

I love these tutorials! You explain them in such a clear manner it makes learning how to do it so simple and fun! I would like to ask though... I have no dart in my front skirt block as I get a better fit without one. If I were to make an A-line skirt, would I use the back darts as my guide for how much to swing out? How far across the front skirt would I use as a point to pivot? Thank you!

I just came across your channel, it looks like it's full of great info. As a beginner and would like to start with something like this dress. I am not able to find the pattern you are using here. Is there a separate pattern or is what you are working on starting with the basic skirt block? Thanks. Alan

Hi Diane. Is there any reason as to why the openings of both front and back skirts must be similar i.e. back opening is short of 1.9cm from the front.

It's not an obligation, but it give me a good reason to show how to add more flare than just the value of the dart. Diane
