additional tips from a sapper main: when your team is charging an enemy fort, build barricades as your team moves up. (Do not build sandbags since they are easy to rush, and do not build cheavux as the enemy can shoot through them) It will make it harder for the enemy to hit your team, puts pressure on enemies, and also gives your team somewhere to hide and shoot other than behind a tree. Only risk is that you are very vulnerable when you are building, so try to strafe and turn your side to the enemy so you are harder to hit. Do not try to engage an enemy in head on combat in an open field. The sapper excels at fighting people in tight maps with little room to shoot and fire, like inside of a building. You should not charge an enemy in an open field with your axe unless your team is charging with you. The only thing you should be doing on an open map is building a fort for your team to shoot in. If the enemy is doing a big cavalry charge, make a circle of pikes and sandbags. This should be common knowledge, but pikes instant kill any horses that charge head first onto it. Beware however as it can kill your team's cavalry as well. Your axe deals the most melee damage in the entire game, but has a slower swing speed. Press X with your building hammer to enter the deconstruct mode, which allows you to destroy buildings with your hammer. It destroys faster than the axe. If your team is on the offensive, destroy any previously constructed fortifications that your team does not use anymore so if the enemy pushes back they do not use it to their advantage. Here's something you should've mentioned: The large chevaux de frise is the largest solid barrier that can be built, therefore they are most useful in battle, for they shield larger areas than other barricades, which may require multiple structures to be combined for effectiveness.

UK-Tea shop France-Baguette/Croissant/Frog leg/Snail shop. Every other nation-Soup shop Soup people are as said useless, but if you are a sapper and you have completed a base with lots of time left, they will build these shops or storage, to make the scenario a bit more exiting, but other than that, don’t be a soup shopkeeper, your team depends on your service and builds.

Like skit says in the first part of the video saps are very effective in countering fortifications as they can build cover for your team as they advance making it safer to rush. The sap is also good in destroying fortifications as they can use their hammer press x and unbuild fortifications.

You can make a trench by putting a large mound on the ground and then add sandbags and barricades on top. Also, how dare you attack the soup man. You can make a safe shooting position by putting a mound, then a barricade on top, with a crate behind it, and stakes to step up on the crate. Do multiple for best effect

I know that me and my buddies (french side) build a little trench and we absolutely destroyed their cavalery which attacked us and when infantry came our riflemen picked them off as they had no cover and we did it was fun and it gave me some WW1 vibes

each time i'm a sapper, I never do a soup shop, but when I create a base, I always include that small "soup container" to the ally soldiers, idk why it boost their morale

Tips : if you on a cavalry map use stake square formation it work (at least its work for me) You need line infantry and light infantry and rifflemen or whathever inside the stake try it i dont nkow if its gonna work but its work for me

In close to mid range, it is always possible to hit a bait, dodge, or juke with pure skill alone. I practiced anti dodging technique on a competitive private server league for legit 3 hours a day with a bot which i mapped my movement and my friend's movement on so that it would attempt to dodge bullets in an unpredictable fashion as to make sure I'm practicing pure skill mouse tracking. I practiced for a month straight nearly every day and now I basically can't miss. It's a good routine to do. You don't even need to do as rigorous of a routine as I. Just get a friend and practice mouse tracking. I would play 2v2 skirmishes on a private server and legit never miss lol.

Drop Bear Sapper Build to get to the roofs of buildings, get behind enemy lines and jump down, suprising them and making for an easy kill. This works on only a few maps, but boy does it work.

Once, I convinced my whole team to go to the nearest enemy house to camp there, after the enemy team went away from their spawn, then they tried to find me team, while they were doing that I was building many traps and walls to keep the enemy team away for a long time, after they found us attacked, we somehow won in that very small house with 10 people inside including me.

Another sapper tricks : 1. Try to be the last man , don't die first so there is a chance that all enemy injured by fighthing our teammate so that's a chance that u can axe them 2. don't be dumb that raid enemy base cuz your axe having slow swing speed 3. Build !!!! 4. Support Musicians , keep them safe. They're important to your teammate! 5. Don't try to messing with dragoon , Bayonet , Officer they're can kill u easily 6. Don't alone camping 7. Don't be big target of Enemy , You're important to your teammate 8 . If you're red , try to hide and backstab enemy. Don't worry to die , you're kamikaze when you're red. 9 . Listen to your teammate what they want 10 . Stay behind your teammate and don't equip axe while u walking bc enemy will know that you're sapper and enemy will target you , just equip hammer. some enemy eyes is nuts so there is a chance that they will ignore u This tricks working for me ;)

I think the 'roof' tactic should had more time Since you can use the 'sapper assasin' to almost kill instantly Since If The enemy doesnt spot you, youll get 1 hit and Before he gets His sword Out (many times Its classic infrantry reloading) youll get The 2nd hit and end His life.

No... This it how it works. Use a bayonet, step on the open field and poke him as his movement speed slows down when he holds the axe. However in a building, you’ll probably die.
