I want to try this build, but is o3 required to be naked?

Hi, you can also build it with a regular O3 Air Unit and it will be 13g heavier. To stay sub250g, you can then use a smaller battery that is less than 55g heavy like the GNB 530mAh. So it works just fine 😊

Hey how do you deal with o3 overheating issues ? nice build btw

Thank you 🤗 no overheating issues on a naked O3 as long as you fly the quad / let the props turn. Without arming, the O3 will overheat in 2-3min and that's more than enough to get a GPS Lock. Alternatively, you can add a small 1g fan but that's not needed in my opinion. Check our website and Insta for more info 😉

Do you plan to release a walksnail compatible version too?

Hi, the AOS 3.5 V5 frame is already compatible with Walksnail and most other VTX systems out there. The skky kit (GoPro mod) should work just fine as well. Only thing you want to double-check is that the hight of your VTX and stack is lower than 15mm. Walksnail is 9.4mm high - so should be fine.

This may be one of the best performing and versatile frames but honestly it looks so crappy and out of proportion I just can’t imagine getting one. Aesthetics do matter atleast a bit.

Question of taste 😉 check-out how it looks with the skky prop guards on - feel it gives it a better appearance. Maybe you like it better then
