This is a car in fortuner's class. But look at the design simplicity and elegance. Other than the reliability it is a superior to fortune in every aspects. This is a common charetctiristic of VW group of cars. When it comes to lower range people starts complaining about the size and make inappropriate comparisons. I am talking about Taigun and Kushaq here. Excellent video.

If you ever get a chance to drive Skoda Yeti 4X4, go out for a spin you will be astonished by it’s performace and it was released way back in 2011 in India comes with a 2L TDI with 4X4. I can gaurantee you, you will be really surprised.

Paaji you made a criminal move by not briefing about the tune. You should have definitely mentioned about the name of tuning firm, changes in the powerband of the car, change in power delivery compared to stock car, change in FE, any changes in hardware etc ☹️ Apart from that, video was quite good :)

2.0 TDI engines are seriously a boon for diesel lovers. I am a 1.6 TDI owner but 2.0 TDI is just from another level. Just get the basics sorted for this engine. Eg: timing belt, water pump, good servicing and maintenance. This engine will live easily for 3-4 lakh kilometres. I wish we get the 2.0 TDI engines back. If not, then I'd say that one should go for these in non metro cities without any issues.

How reliable would Kodiaq 2018 Style 2.0 TDI which has a mileage of 2,00,000 kms be? Do u recommend to buy it? If yes, What sort of checks do u recommend before buying this?

Bump noise is a common thing in all VAG cars... Tata/ Hyundai do a really good job in this dept esp on their expensive cars

Veer I thoroughly appreciate that u had a Audi, VW cars fan bcz I'm also one of the biggest fan. I had Laura 2007 L& K, Laura 2012 DSG, VW Passat, Audi A6 2013 TDI, Audi Q7 2011 3.0 TDI. These all cars r gem of the cars. But as a owner of all cars I'm facing the same problems in almost all cars Meri dono Laura mei flywheel problem & A/C compressor issue, Oil cooler, water pump, A/C & Radiator fans issue all cars ki saari roofs ka cloth issue, aise aur bhi kaye common issue jo in sab cars mei face hue. Why VW group don't take seriously for this bcz agar car owner in all issues k liye dealer k pass jaye then they demanded hefty money.

Please tell me one car which keeps running without any flaws in 8-9th year? I don’t see old CRVs, Tucsons or Elantras but see Octavia Laura in numbers. Not denying the issues but in the long term cars are expensive to maintain but if one shells out good money from pocket they are good for another 5-6 years

Awesome vehicle, have seen a few used at around 20 odd lakhs but very hard to trust the resellers. I guess the DSG gearbox in this vehicle is not the same as the non trustworthy dq200 in the vw 2.0 cars !

One thing you haven’t mentioned about Skoda cars is that. At higher speed @150 -190 kmphr The cars lowers its height by little as you driver faster. One can feel that car lowers itself. I experienced this in Fabia top model 12 years ago.

i recently started to have this thought , on what basis companies think to pair a particular gearbox with a car because sometimes i feel my i20(2023 facelift) with cvt to be a bit laggy and sometimes makes me think, have the engine performance dropped so much over the years because of emissions norms or the cvt gearbox have a major role to play in this? this can only be revealed once i drive an i20 bs.2 manual but then i think what if they had given dct in it? thus. the thought, what makes the car companies choose one gearbox over the other? like in pre facelift mg hector, their used to be 2 gearbox options ( cvt& dct) for same 1.5 turbo petrol engine if manish ji and you could discuss in some video

Sunder bhai, i don't know why but, i would still perfer fortuner over this car bcz it is perfect car at this price point with 2.8 powerful diesel, comfortable, looks n safety. As a skoda owner,I hv hardly seen kodiaq on road n rarely in service centres n i feel its an expensive package thn toyota

Fortuner is comfortable as a daily driver? Turning radius in the City? 3rd row comfort in City? I would request you to test these things back to back. Day night difference. Fortuner sells because of its macho looks & as a status symbol. It is plainly overpriced by 5-7 lakh.

If I was at ur place (7 seater/4*4,auto) with this budget this I would pick scorpioN 4*4 for around 30lks and would invest remaining amount...as it really would serve the purpose which would provide an exceptional value wt 2.0 diesel engine n off-road capability...what r your thoughts?

Scorpio N is a good car but your understanding about how much better a global car is, is limited. If budget allows, Kodiaq is 100 years ahead as an overall product in real time safety, comfort & performance.

Sunder ji, but TDI doesn't come now wt kodiaq, thats d reason i feel fortuner has upper hand n personally i feel fortuner makes more sense than buying kodiaq bcz of massive road presence,build, Toyota's engineering, affordability in service, good network, good resale value n capable 4x4. Also skoda maintenance is also on bit expensive side,part availability, lack of touch points/network could be the reason why ppl arent going for kodiaq. Its hardly seen on road. Im not saying its not a good car, but at this price point you can extract much more from fortuner if you think wisely

Quite a video biased I know that you a big fan of Skoda/VW You should have spoke negatives of the car also. Even im a fan of germans cars but still, negatives are negatives.

I think yes, 2019 model is 5 years old and if you keep aside 2-3 lakhs for future maintenance it is still the best car for the money if you can manage to keep up with the costs. After 5 years just get it re-registered.

I am regular viewer of Paaji but here I have to say this shouldn't be promoted and take it lightly. like we concern for safety in car whatsoever is the reason one should not record like this on public road. it is unsafe for him and others too.
