I love these cars. The bmw is clearly superior in every way. But for the cost of a 330i m sport i can buy 2 octavia vrs. The octavia is best value for money under 40 lakhs. Barring the 330i it will beat everything under 50 lakhs while also being cheaper to maintain and service compared to the 3 germans. Not to mention that a stage 1 or stage 2 tune which doesnt require a turbo upgrade will take the octavia to 300+bhp. So after spending around 35 lakhs including the performqnce upgrade you'll have a sedan that beats cars 2 segments above while also being cheap to maintain. Service, insurance and spare parts costs of germans are 2-3 times higher then the skoda. Plus the skoda comes with a humongous boot and good legroom for 4 six footers. I just hope skoda doesnt increase the price of the cars in the next lot.

Great comparison. Even Better comparison would be the Skoda superb 280 which has 4wd 280hp and a brilliant interior. I don't know if u get that in India though. Id actually take the Skoda superb over the 330i.

seriously saying I have driven it like crazy.. it gives heart pumping adrenalin rush.. it's freakin fast.. every1 will love it definitely such an addictive driving pleasure.. it is a brilliant car undoubtedly .. you need to spend a bit and will definitely get to enjoy a lot more.. !no easy way to enjoy life.. it is truly a big car with a bigger heart..

that 1 second gap in 0-100 timings is because front wheel drive cars suck at launching. i guess rs can easily keep up with bmw in roll on sprints and will beat it in corners.

The way things are shaping up, if there is going to be an axillary boost mechanism for a patrol engine it will be in the form of an electrical motor not a turbo charger. Turbo chargers are more at home in diesel engines where they forcefeed just air to aid with the combustion. Turbos in a patrol engine forcefeeds fuel-air mix resulting in shortcircuit release of it as speeds built up. Excuse vRS fans, but this car is now a museum piece.

Well.. I guess I'm totally not in the loop here as to how these cars are performance versions. I was under the impression that spending 35L on a 'performance' car would get me at least a 6 cyl. engine and on-demand 4WD. I drive a 1.8 TSI Superb, while it is a big family saloon and not a performance car I distinctly remember its V6+4WD version selling for around 26L back in 2010.

Why are you comparing 330i with the RS ?? Should have compared 328i N20 engine .. My 328i came with 250hp and jus with tune and downpipe am pushin 350hp at 24psi lol.. lowered it on b8 so no body roll and stiff ride... NO COMPARISON TO THE SKODA FWDs.. shame they dont sale 340i's in india lol
