I'd say the same, after owning one for 3 months now. Pros: Long drives very effortless, Cruise control is absolutely brilliant - I use even in city, excellent mileage - I've got upto 27.5 on long drives, good high speed stability, premium feel inside, lot of safety features, good breaks, very smooth gear shifts. Cons: High engine noise at low speeds, dull interior colors, high transmission tunnel in the back, no dead pedal, sometimes gears dont shift to my linking so I have to use the triptonic. Also read that Skoda after sales service is bad, haven't gone there yet..

I have this Rapid black page petrol engine which I have been using from past 1 year and all I can say is Fantabulous. One thing I have noticed is the engine temperature reaches to 90 degrees within minutes of ignition and then stays at 90 all throughout the journey however there was this one time in ghat section where it went 125 degrees with engine light on but after the cool down didn't face this again. Is this normal?

WHAT ?? Same Power as 1.6 Tdi ? NOOOOO ! Soo much of turbolag from 1000 to 2000 RPM i always had to shift down the gear ! 1.6 had the best performance but this 1.5 TDI polo GT engine is just like a Polo GT TDI !

BHAVISHYA BHAT We would recommend you go for the Vento 1.2 liter AT petrol as it produces the same power but higher torque. The Skoda on the other hand also is a thirsty car and might strain your pockets.

Go for Polo GT TDI.. They didn't have a Polo GT TDI so threw a Vento with the same engine.. and boy! what an engine.. It goes to 4th gear without bothering the accelerator pedal and 10 kmph in 3rd gear is no problem.. and if you are in some terrible need for speed, it covers ground quite rapidly as well.. blown by the fantastic engine more than anything else and the engine is so so so much better than what the Hyundai, Maruti or even Honda has on offer!

Also issues with this car includes 1)Abs not working due to damaged rear tyre rpm sensor.(cost around rs 4500 to repair) 2)Damage of diesel injector one after another for no specific reason from customer's side...(rs 23000 to replace one injector) I strongly suggest to avoid skoda brand in kerala as the service in central kerala is pathetic and you are at the mercy of local work shops and multi brand workshops like bosch where the time to get repaired is unpredictable and also got less experienced manpower..
