As someone who used to play a ton of lee sin, his difficulty is way overrated. He should not be in that last tier. I think the main reason you have a lot of people talking about how difficult he is is the same reason there was so many people trying to get akali on the list. He is such a popular champion that everyone plays him rather than just a small group of dedicated players.

@tehrik0020
@tehrik0020 2 жыл бұрын
The catch with Lee is that people associate long combos and high mobility with difficulty: while there is certainly a degree of mastery in these, they are only the flashiest elements (and not even the most important) of a champion, and in doing so they ignore another fact: a champion is not defined only by how you play them, but also how the enemy can play against them: Lee Sin in particular has high base stats and a total of six/five ability casts at level 3 (out of which three deal damage, one shields, one can vamp and one can slow) with a natural +40% attack speed steroid: fighting directly against Lee is always a weakside fight for most champions, and at the same time his Q at best and W at worst give him a safe escape route in case things go south, the Lee player has no idea how much agency they have in a fight over a majority of other champions by simply being statistically superior.

Draven's axes also land based on the direction Draven is moving in as they travel towards the enemy. Meaning if you walk forward, the axes are gonna move forward. You have to manipulate where the axes fall in addition to avoiding enemy skillshots, keeping the axes spun for increased AD, managing your mana, timing E to interrupt dashes, etc.
@colboy1fish
@colboy1fish 2 жыл бұрын
The hard thing is that they don't move the full range forward, so you have to hold yourself back with every catch. Going all in isn't fully all, because you will walk past axes if you just click in their direction.

Teemo mechanically is literally the simplest champion in the game, but trust me, to beat other champions with fancy kits using only 500 range autoattacks, a gimmick passive, 2 abilities, one of which is a delayed trap and one of which is a cc ability that only disables autoattacks, with no other sources of hard cc or mobility takes quite a lot of effort. On top of that, I'd say his R is unironically one of the hardest abilities to master. They have so many uses, they can be used for waveclear, to counter engages, to zone enemies from objectives, to control areas of the map, to provide vision, to simply deal damage and to use the right one you have to know exactly when and where to place them. If you want to zone an enemy off of an engage, but you place your shroom too far to the left, that's too bad, a minion steps on it, you lose lane pressure, wave control and 100 mana. You're fighting an enemy, and you throw a shroom directly at them? They see it, your shroom isn't instantly armed so they dodge out of the way and your ult is wasted and they can kill you for free, while if you'd thrown the shroom at a minion next to them, the situation would be completely different. His kit might be really simple, but I'd say he's arguably still really hard to master, purely due to how much knowledge and situation analysis he requires
@Revalence123
@Revalence123 2 жыл бұрын
So i surprisingly agree with a lot of this list, but I kinda wish I had seen bard on here. I wouldn't say Bard is the hardest character to play, but theyre very special because their kit either takes two steps, puts your team at risk, or can help the enemy team. He's a very weird champ and im interested to see where you would have put them.
@starmoral5456
@starmoral5456 2 жыл бұрын
I love Bard because his playstyle is so much different than other supports. I would say, in his category of support, he's rather easy. But since he's practically the only champ with THAT playstyle in a natural setting, it still makes him relatively hard.
@amaterasu3325
@amaterasu3325 2 жыл бұрын
Bard isn't the only champ in the game that has a special kit, in fact specialists are an entire class of those. In retrospect, bard is hard for a support, but realistically he just has to do what any jungler has to do, and has two very simple abilities (e and r) to set up ganks. Not really that hard of a champ, his q is pretty big and not hard to land, meeps are a point and click slow and w has no skill components. Nidalee has to look for opportunities across the map like bard, while being extremely hard to execute her combos and to actually land her spear. Even then, stuff like gragas is much easier to fk up on compared to bard. Idk if its just support players being less skilled on average, but bard ult shouldn't really be that hard to execute effectively. Like you can target allies and enemies, but take lulu. She has 6 abilities and she has to chose whether to empower or protect, or to impair enemies. It shouldn't be that hard.

One thing I feel could be brought up is internal vs external difficulty, and how that affects how a champion plays. The question to be asked is are they difficult because it takes a long time to become proficient at their own controls and gain access to their strengths or are they difficult because they have large flaws that their strengths have a hard time mitigating? No champion exists in a vacuum, so there's a big difference between a champion like Riven with mostly internal difficulty, where they are hard to pilot but once proficient their kit has tools around their weaknesses, and a champion like Anivia with a lot of external difficulty where her abilities are simpler to pick up and learn to use but has no way around the fact that she's a low-mid range mage with 325 speed and slow abilities. Obviously every champion is a mix of both but some lean towards one side more than the other, and some champions have a lot of both, like Gangplank with his barrels that are both a bit tricky to manage and also a pain when he fights a ranged auto attacker. Aurelion Sol has this problem but more than almost every champion on this list, hence why he's at the top of most lists like this one. His damage is really high but very hard to get access to, and on top of that he's very squishy as well as being quite easy to hit, so he's usually one slipup away from going straight back to the fountain. No matter how hard a character is to play they cannot be allowed to do everything because then you get a balance nightmare. But when a champion is hard and it feels like their weaknesses overshadow their strengths, they just feel disappointing to try and learn.

I think anivia is similar ryze in that a lot of people assume shes easy because her combos can be flow-charted, but also many don't take the time to analyze the importance of each ability. Anivia is mad immobile, so knowing when ulti wall is enough to not have to q so you can save it for peel, wall placement and angles, placing wall between allies and melee champs to prevent damage output, using it to cancel channels and funnel enemy champs for wombos, positioning around ulti, always getting double damage on q pass through, placing it to hit multiple enemies like a nami bubble. Like I think people see her kit and assume she is easy and don't put much effort into her past that, but the different between froggen anivia and even other challenger anivias is very noticable, and the difference between a high level and a low level anivia is night and day. Like every champion positions, but on different champions, that positioning is more important than others (positioning on teemo vs positioning on ezreal, one is infinitely more forgiving, so positioning is less important when calculating ezreal difficulty vs the rest of his kite, where teemo positioning matters more than the depth of the kit). Because of this, I would put anivia above rengar under yasuo i think. but thats just me

I think the big takeaway from a lot of champs that are "hard" is that a lot of them have a single trick that isn't intuitive or obvious and once you learn that trick, they are super easy (or much easier). Some examples: Taliyah: You fish with shove THEN cast mines if it hits. Saves you mana on the combo and ensures you always use mines when it does damage. Akali: Max range Q lets you stutter step out of passive range for instant proc. Akshan: Stop clicking when you E, it cancels when you right click.

23:15 Draven's not as hard as you think (he is not easy, but honestly high ok tier is where I'd put him), the real challenge with him is knowing when to not go for the axe catch and when to catch them. You can control where the axe will go w/ movement commands too. The hardest part w/ him is playing against CC+dive, because you no mobility except a haste on your W, so your mobility is basically the same as Jinx, but you're only 550 range instead of having rockets w/ 725 range.

As an anivia main i feel forced to defend my champ. Yeah i think playing her is probably pretty easy. Shes gotten a lot easier recently when they buffed anivia Q projectile speed. It used to be one of the slowest and easiest to dodge skill shots. But some of the more advanced mechanics can be really hard. The wall is what differentiates a good anivia from a bad one. Its positioning can basically be a 5 second stun if placed correctly. It has a very small knockup on spawn so it can be used to interrupt many abilities. Try stopping a lee sin mid-Q with an anivia wall. Its not easy. Also that egg is pretty damn useless 80% of the time. If youre not under tower or near your team it delays your death for like 5 seconds and thats about it.

To add to the wall argument, if you know how to use it properly you can pin champs against walls with your wall for the WHOLE wall duration forcing them to use a dash or flash. This pin can be done to any champ that is teleporting to a turret as well and now that a turret is the only thing to tp to pre 14 min it has a lot more power and anivia has more chances for skill expression in that way

hi, azir main here. He's not really in a bad spot, although he can be pretty buggy, he dominates laning phase and hyperscales so hard you can 1v5 carry if youre good at him. Shuffles just take a few hours of practice to learn mechanically, and maybe a few dozen games to learn soldier positioning and WHEN to shuffle, but he makes up for it with (imo) one of the best dashes in the game. Of course, you have to do all that just to be as good as a beginner on an easy champ, but the skill ceiling is so high that it's worth it. he dominates lane, shreds tanks, is practically untouchable, has an annoying ass ult, does insane damage, a great strategic passive, etc. the worst part is the massive learning curve and the fact that riot changes him every time his winrate is above 45%

I agree with almost all of the list, but I'm surprised that I didn't see Camille. I know Camille has two things to master which is her E, and knowing how to use your empowered Q. Well, it's not that easy ! But I admit, if you learn her E and how to do stuns with it and run away when you need, she's one of the safest champions to play. But mastering her is quite challenging too, like timing your ulti so you run away from cc, doing your combos like E>W>E And E>E> flash/E>flash>E to stun, is so obnoxiously hard to land. I think she goes close to Gwen on this list imo.

Honestly I'm not surprised at all, Camille most of the time feels like an incredibly oppressive statstick: her E is such a strong mobility tool that this champion's most popular SS combinations are always without Flash, the passive gives her an edge in trading any kind of enemy champion by simple virtue of existing and her Q's interaction with Sunderer is honestly disgusting. The only thing I can sort of get behind is the R timing but even then it's not inherent to Camille: reaction time training is a skill that exhudes from being bound to a champion, or even League of Legends as a whole.

Also, one more thing about Soraka is that any patch that buffs Tanks in terms of items is also a slight buff for her, which means in a meta where Tanks are buffed, that would mean dealing with not just 1, but 2 walls, one of which is healing the other while the other is negating all of the damage you throw at them through resistances, all while their carry is picking your team apart and if that's not the case, since she's for the most part also an AP champion, any buffs to mages in terms of items does the same trick as well, except you gotta deal with someone else that's nuking your whole team faster than you can kill Soraka instead. And in either scenarios, she's most of the time going to be just sitting at the back line, either spamming heals or silences, and you still gotta pass through her teammates. The most logical approach to this would be having a dedicated assassin to either pick the Soraka off or whichever carry was the most threatening as quickly as possible. That in itself is a gamble for you, but is a guaranteed 1 less person for the Soraka's team to worry about since it's such an obvious game plan. What makes Draven hard for me personally is also because of his axes but for a different reason. His axes makes him telegraphed as fuck, which means you always gotta be on edge when playing him because literally all eyes are on you and where you're going, which means that all it takes is one wrong catch or one missed axe to dictate a start of a potential skirmish or a full blown teamfight. The difficulty in playing Draven is in the nerves that you gotta have to maintain that composure on not fucking up in the first place, and not fucking up even further if you did, because missing an axe means reduced DPS, and everyone knows that.

The thing about Kata is that when she's good at things, she's really good at those: -she does very high dmg very quickly -she has very high mobility -she snowballs really hard -her passive is one of the best passives in the game together with the fact that she doesn't have mana either However if she's bad, she really sucks: -she is very combo oriented, her abilities are hardly average on their own, it's her E and her passive that makes her very scary, and you have to learn to use her skills in the right order and also know when to take up which daggers -she is very kill dependent: she needs to get fed to actually do smg, she needs kills for her passive, and she needs to kill, becuase although very mobile, she doesn't have a very reliable escape ability, her best bet is a well positioned dagger or a panic E on the minion wave or a teammate - so in most cases she has to kill everyone that can kill her, or die -her dagger mechanic makes her very predictible - similarly to zed's shadows, lb's dash mark and draven's axes -, people will throw all their skillshots at them and eventually you're gonna jump into one -her ult is easy to stop, if you play against kata mains that are aware of this, you'll see that they don't hold their ult for long, very often it's 1,5-2 seconds at max - this is also, because she is very squishy and she has to stay in motion -her farming is awful, and to get a good clear, you have to use all of her abilities which will leave you vulnerable to a potential gank - not to mention, that that doesn't clear the whole wave - at least definitely not it early, and not perfectly in mid game either -if she falls back, she can easily become useless due to the already mentioned kill dependency and bad clear -her early is utterly weak partially because she can't do shit if she doesn't go in, but then again if she goes in, she can struggle to come out alive if she doesn't instantly end her target - also the higher early cooldowns slow her combos down and her escape potential, bcs you don't get back your E instantly after using it -oh and also itemazation for her has been kinda weird since the removal of gunblade, there just aren't much items that are really specifically good for her To sum it up, you have to get kills and use your combos, mobility and daggers wisely, in order to perform well. She is very hard to play imo, but she does get very strong and scray when she gets fed - but isn't that true for most champs? I think when people declare her as easy is becuase many players get frightened and/or confused by her unusual mobility - even for an assassin - , but against people who are used to playing against her (or) in higher ranks, this isn't the case.

Everyone else is at least capable in some degree, nid still does good damage as does GP but as Azir sometimes it feels like there’s no point to fighting as I do fuck all damage past level 4 until like level 16. I’m an Asol main, vlad is honestly harder for me then azir or Asol. He requires you to know your limits for every single matchup in the game, then again for tier one anti heal, AND THEN ALL OVER AGAIN FOT TIER TWO. The only way you win on vlad is knowing your weird ass limits perfectly, but they change so much every time you or your opponent buys an item. So you have to play thousands of games to master that dumbass champ. He needs a rework, he’s not mechanically hard but the way he drain tanks is so not intuitive or practical that he’s a joke.
@FireDarkNinja
@FireDarkNinja 2 жыл бұрын
@@sebastianlaplume461 I personally don’t think he’s harder right now because at least he’s viable as a carry a lot of the time. My friend plays a lot of Vlad and at least Vlad can consistently play well even if he has to play a strange early game his massive power especially in his tools make him easier overall than Azir and Asol for me. I’m a M7 Asol so I hope I can somewhat speak to his power but he’s just so consistently nerfed and trashed, the meta is completely awful for him as of recent. Vlad has very viable tools as well, even with antiheal people are required to get items specifically to play against him. Q being a good poke a trading tool, W being complete invulnerability and E being a powerful burst option his ult lending to that. Obviously his limits are difficult to learn but he’s far more consistent than others Azir for example is inconsistent as hell, you have to farm forever to be at all viable, you have to play perfectly and the things he’s supposed to be good at bullying in lane and team fights but he’s consistently outperformed by other laners, and he cannot team fight at all because his ult is so neutered and his E had so much power removed from it by removing a simple tool. My main argument is that at least Vlad has good tools without item reliance but Asol and Azir don’t and are consistently nerfed because they have powerful tools for the pro scene.
@sebastianlaplume461
@sebastianlaplume461 2 жыл бұрын
@@FireDarkNinja I suppose you’re kind of right. Vlad has much better ratios then azir or Asol so he’s a lot less lead dependent, and like kayle or kassadin, can just farm it out and get strong. Asol and azir require you to win lane to be effective, and they fall off very hard if they get behind at all. So from that perspective I can see you what you mean, however, in a meta that’s favored 90-10 early game to late game, being able to win lane makes a champ so much easier and more viable in soloQ at least. Azir is definitely weird right now because he needs to be a lane bully, but if anyone stands up to him he loses, so you have to play a very fine line, it’s not nearly as fine as vlads though. As a fellow main (?, I have a lot of M7s but Asol is still my main) I’m sure you’re aware that if the game goes past 25 minutes, your odds of winning start disappearing faster than Asol’s play rate at launch, so in that regard, he’s difficult like draven, where you have to win and snowball, then end before you fall off, all the while not really being able to make that happen on your own. A lot of people have trouble with Asol because they try and play him as a scaler, like most mages, when all of his power is in the early game while his wr drops harder then even pantheons. I’d say for soloQ champs, the lane presence is way more viable then coin flipping for late game, at least for competent players. In lower elos scalers are a lot stronger (*cough* yi) because people don’t end games fast enough to shut them out. Vlad faces the same issues as yi in high elo, he just doesn’t get to play the game.
@FireDarkNinja
@FireDarkNinja 2 жыл бұрын
@@sebastianlaplume461 Yeah I would agree with pretty much everything except that in high elo I don’t think you even win lane as Asol you just win other lanes while trying to hold neutral in your lane because you have very little way to actually do anything once they’re ahead. I definitely think Azir is the worst atm because he also suffers from late game syndrome where he’s strong with that late game super spam dps but has nothing in the early yet again. I think Azir is so awful because his only strength is a playmaker ult and that’s effectively useless everywhere but pro play. Asol can at least roam well and is ok at damage (but fucking hell you might as well build ad on him his stars scale so badly). I feel like Vlad is just one of those champs who isn’t awfully difficult but is just fucked by the meta whereas it feels like Azir and Asol will always be difficult beyond redemption because of how their kits are. If they got reworked they just wouldn’t be the same so I don’t really know what you can do either. My point is pretty much that Vlad is only difficult currently but if the meta changes he’s not necessarily as micro or macro intensive as Asol or Azir but he’s definitely up there. Azir fully sucks because he’s effectively an ADC who can’t get ahead nowadays he can farm, but he’s not going to be stronger than a lot of other characters who do the same thing, that’s the worst thing about Azir he’s just a pro play character unless you want your team to flame you.

Take this with a grain of salt as I am a biased 200k mastery Kled main, but I think Kled belongs at either the top of ok or bottom of insanely difficult, managing incoming damage and w cooldown to make the most out of dismount/remount is incredibly difficult considering how chaotic games are today. I will say that it is very easy to do ok with Kled, most people don't understand how to lane against him so you can pretty easily win good matchups, however, if your opponent understands how to play around bear trap, say goodbye to your ability to trade, on top of that they can play around your w cd and basically negate all your damage. Playing the champ to the point where you can 1v3 is difficult because he is almost exclusively single target damage, and using e recast to dodge can majorly fuck your positioning. Kled is super sporadic, a bad Kled prays for damage and survivability and can win trades by getting lucky, a good Kled knows how to play around their kit and always be able to take good trades.

The funny part about the Gwen segment, her not being able to CC and chase people etc, is that in the Ruination story Gwen used magic needles/thread bullshit in order to lock Viego away forever. So like, pretty hard CC right? But she has no CC in game lol.

Riven and Lee Sin: "Do not main (too hard)" Well it's a bit too late for that, my dude. Also, the toughest part about playing as Soraka is dealing with stubborn ass teammates (usually your ADC or the setter, especially the former) like you're a kindergarten teacher trying to expedite children into behaving. I know this is generally applicable to all healers but like, let me get fucking close to you so I can heal you.

skill expression is so crazy for gp. not only barrel placement but utilizing sheen procs and his passive effectivly in lane. fun fact gp can store a sheen proc in his barrel then wait to use a 2nd one on his q. so best case scenario gp can get 2 sheen procs and 2 passives off in the same trade if they know what theyre doing

I actually main Aurelion Sol at the moment. I'm relatively new to both league and the champion (level 81 with 35k mastery 6) and he is so goddamn weird. I actually wouldn't say he is as hard to play as people say he is but riot really hates us lmao.

I loved playing katarina until riot removed hextech gunblade , then i felt like i had no good itemization and so i stopped playing her. But i 100% agree that she is not as easy as it seems . I play a lot of aram nowdays and when my friends get katarina they almost always do very badly . The thing with kat is that if you are not extremely fed you have to be coordinated with your team to be able to do anything, because if you jump in without first having you team deal some damage and having taken most of the cc from the enemy team , you ll just shumpo in ,w, ult for a millisecond and then just die to a cc without getting any resets at all. If you manage to get resets you first have to recognise that instantly and then you still have to use your abilities very quickly and in the right order because otherwise you ll just get killed by the people running away. Not saying katarina is the hardest champ, just saying it s not just braindead smashing the keyboard.

Idk about Kayn, his forms don't really change much but having no escape when a fight goes bad and having 0 bulkiness is a pain. Sure you walk through the wall to get in but you die if you can't kill them instantly or if you get cc'd vs Quiana who has her q on a 5 second cd that also gives her invis, and that's ignoring her constant cc and mobility. There's also the issue with grievous wounds negating any healing you would do in red form, even with conq. So all red form does is 1 bit of cc or makes a task buy thornmail, which is essentially perma 60% grievous wounds on anyone with cc.

Redarding difficulty, people have a tendency to overlook some metrics and overrate others which may have a tendency to skew results. I am by no means expert in "pointing out champion difficulty" but I like to think about what contributes to making a champion difficult. Straight from my head I can think of Mechanics: which is probably the first everyone thinks of, its the most straight forward. Combos and execution. Resource management: Some champions need to think ahead when using abilities, others use everything indefinitly as long as its off cooldown. Powerspikes: Late game champions will suceed as long as they farm up and not die. However, everyone needs to do those two things. Neutral outcomes always benefit the scaling champion even when they don't work for it, which means they're inherently easier to play. Features: Onedimentional champions, those that do only one thing tend to be easier. That's no secret for anyone. But what I'd like to include here too overloaded champions on the easy end of the spectrum because they have so much going on in their kits they have an answer for everything. If they do everything you don't have to think about things to avoid. You just brute force your way through all situations. The difficult in that case is a champion that has both nuance and flaws. Planning ahead: Some champions demand only execution. You use and benefit. But other abilities require you to think ahead of time, to predict the game state in front. Traps are the easiest example but abilities with very long delays, channels or cast times are also included. Based on these five, I'd name Lee Sin and Nidalee as the hardest champions in the game. Both are some of the most difficult mechanically, are early game champions, have nuanced but not overloaded kits (Lee Sin's is mildly overloaded, but just mildly), and though they're nothing special on the other two facets, scoring at or near the top in 3 out of 5 criteria earns them the title. Riven is the most mechanically difficult champion in the game, but she scales hard and has zero resources to manage. The Viego argument that she becomes every champion is legitimate, but I don't agree with it, or at least I don't think it justifies getting him that far because that only becomes a factor when you're facing those difficult champions and even then, its for no more than a minute per game, and not even every game. Azir is the most overloaded champion in the game and he hard scales. Azir is a long range hypercarry, Azir is a mobile hypercarry and Azir even has a gamechaning utility ultimate. And he even has a damn tower. There's not a single thing Azir can't do. GP scores really high on 2 categories out of 5, but that's not the 3 of Lee Sin and Nidalee. In addition, GP hyperscales, so he scores very low on the powerspike department. Finally, Taliyah is up there, I'm inclined to say though Taliyah is not 10/10 in any category, she is 8/10 or more in all of them, so I think giving her the third place is very justifiable. Last but not least: Honorable mentions. I'd put Draven higher. Difficult mechanics, mana hungry, early game champion, nuanced but not overloaded and you need to think about your axes. In fact, he might be top 10. Maybe even top 5. Finally, champions that didn't made into the list at all: Bard, Elise, Gragas, Jayce, LeBlanc, Lucian, Rek'sai, Shaco (totally not biased, btw), Singed, Thresh and Zoe.

He's not mechanicaly hard but,early mana problems and often is hard to go all the laning phase without dying at least 2 times(even in higher elos). There is very little difference between being a good singed and a bad signed aside from knowing how to go in or how to proxy because some Champs would just bully or poke you down otherwise. He scales well but for at least 14 mins he feels like half a champion.

As someone who plays a lot of Lillia, the hardest part of playing her is being a good jungler. Correct pathing is the most important aspect of playing Lillia, being in the right place at the right time, sequence your camps in a proper order, invade and steal enemy camps (especially raptors) on respawn and ganking/counterganking correctly. It's something important for every jungler, but on Lillia is like 10 times more important. If I play any other jungler, doing that is important, but I can also either brain off afk farm on late game carries like Yi or brute force ganks on early game champs like Lee or J4. But Lillia can't really do either. Yes, you scale fine, so you can farm and carry late. Yes, running Predator makes your early ganking a lot better. But you aren't exactly great at either of those

Soraka needs to be positioned perfectly so she doesn't explode, she has barely no damage after early AND can't solo carry at all. Gnar is hard, since he requires so much management for his rage to kill correctly and not int, any champ with a long distance can kill him when he is mini if his E is on cd, and any hard cc cucks him completely. Also, the main reason gnar seems easy in solo q, is because barely anyone plays gnar, so people don’t know what to do when he is their opponent.

I still severely disagree with the Katarina statement, while she can get her ulti negated by quite a few things you need to take into account human reaction time. You know she can blink to a dagger and you can walk away but you don't know when she will and her blink is at like a 0.1s cast time, add to that the fact she procs on hits and that her passive spin is a huge aoe with massive ratios just makes her unfair to play against (not even taking into account the dagger reset on e AND the takedown reset on all spells). The fact that her burst is aoe is the icing on top of this unbalanced mess

I 100% agree, I also think she's not hard to play in the slightest. Having a few unwinnable matchups doesnt make a champion hard to play so I really disagreed with skooch's logic for that tier placement. I genuinely believe she is far easier than akali who isnt even on this list lol

Okay Aurelion is hard but he's worth maining in the botlane as adc Think abt it -All abilities are med-ium-large AOE skillshots that can hit 2 ppl -He's weak early but OP late, meaning he can really use the support -He relies on keeping you in place, which means he will combo perfectly with literally any support that has CC -The biggest counter to Asol are assassins, only one of which is a full out support (2 counting panth) which means better matchups for him

The thing about ryze right now is: he's hard, he's imobile and he does absolutely no damage. You need 2 whole spell rotations to do what you previously did with one rotation. Also: he doesn't have the shield he used to get, the movespeed he used to get and the ap ratios he used to get. Do not main him.
