I went to Skoolie last year, too busy this year. Glad you got to have the experience. Beautiful sunset. Crazy rigs and very intersting people there. Reminds me a little bit of the hippie era back in the 70's. Love the clown bike? Fun video.

Wow, what a sensory overload! Amazing fire dancer! So many campers of all kinds, and so much eclectic, and bizarre stuff to see, hear, and try (like that little bike with no brakes!) Very interesting, but a day or two at the most is all I would want....it reminds me of Burning Man. Pretty wild scene! Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the sharing your experience.

Thank you! Yes, I had to stay longer but next time I’ll cut it shorter and do more exploring. It was fun though. Hard to sleep with music at all hours. 4am, 7am, etc. Tuesday night it was quiet, then it never ended. I don’t sleep anyway so I slept regular!

Very eclectic bunch. The fire dancer was good. That one vehicle looks like something from Max Max fell into toy graveyard. Bet whoever owns that is an interesting person. Looks like you enjoyed yourself. I can’t believe you lasted 5 days though! Nice to see you feeling relaxed with the vibe.

This is the event I wanted to go to before I even started my build, two years ago. If you’re finished by September and near Oregon you should look into going to Descend on Bend.

This looked totally fun. I may have to make my way to the next one. How does it compare to Descend? I thought I saw one, perhaps two, rigs that were at Descend.

Descend is like the good kid while Skoolie is the wild child. Descend is paid and organized. This one is many camps with so much going on. I guess you needed the what’s app I wasn’t downloading that for an event. The welcome crew was kind of hidden didn’t see them until about the last day. You can drive half a mile down the road to sleep. That’s what a friend did and would drive back during the day. The music doesn’t stop, at all. It stopped Tuesday night but all the other nights it was going. You’re in a forest, nothing can be done. I guess the night before I got there everyone was calling authorities to stop it. I guess that wasn’t normal, I don’t know. I don’t sleep anyway, so it wasn’t any different for me. I saw people from Descend.

@@AnnettesVanTease ROTFLMAO...ok, then! We'll talk more about it at Descend. Also, I got to thinking that you might REALLY like the Oregon Country Fair. And you can camp, although camping costs. I camp there from Thursday afternoon until Monday morning. I've got a few vids on it, so give them a look and see what you think. Super fun! It always happens the weekend after 4th of July weekend. This year 12-14.

@skeeterjim6758 that sounds cool. I loved the rigs backed up and open for viewing. There weren’t many. I saw very, very few on the inside. A couple of box trucks were sweet though, I checked both of those out. This was also the new Skoolie the original Skoolie started when the one I went to ended and is still happening. A friend is there now. I guess the one I went to is the corporate one and the ungathering is happening now.

I met a lady in Quartzsite she had a couple boys Shirley new baby and was having problems with her water system I think it froze because she was there was a little bit of water dripping out of the front I tried to help her as much as I could she did hook up the water to the wrong spot and then there was a bad leak in the bathroom which I think was probably a frozen toilet valve so I think that’s where the water came from I hope she made it there OK she was very nice lady
