Bomb is the best with just the top 2 upgrades imo, and drillbert is king as a first relic once you pour all resources into him. Getting him as second relic is just giving you a poor impression. A few things to keep in mind when you do play drillbert: you dont need to handfeed the treat to drillbert directly, you can just leave it in his path and he will eat it. Getting the augment so he turns around automatically is the most important one. You can leave drill at the 2nd upgrade cause most of your time should be spent setting up drillbert to dig proper stripmines and hauling the resources back. -A drillbert enthusiast

I once got drillbert as my first relic and I won the large map on hard with only my second drill upgrade. I also had resource portal and elevator which i only really upgraded a bit. My entire cycle was running around, preparing drillbert to automatically go down when needed, with a treat to speed him up every now and then. max lvl drillbert is lowkey op He can literally mine the entire map while you just hang out and handle base defense.

I think digging straight down early is a good way to do things cus the lower layers give higher node and yield amounts. I go left and right at first, upgrade drill and carry weight and just start going down, 9 times out of 10 you will hit an iron node within 8-12 blocks

straight down then vertical tunnels all the way. it's super efficient as you can time digging up with the incoming wave and get a little extra drilling time.

And if you want to go through the extra length (and with some luck), you can deliberately avoid the thicc rock and only dig the soft gravel if you have low(er than the recommended) level drill.

The fact that bombs collide with resources but don't explode on contact with them is pretty frustrating sometimes. It would also be nice to have an easier way to throw bombs horizontally, since it can be tricky to get them to collide with walls (which you might want to do if you're using the line bombs).

Found out that you don't really need the higher level carry weight upgrade. If you have a massive pile of resource, you can grab the furthest resource and use them to 'drag' them. Also works vertically if you have the lift, which is why I really love the lift.

Not really, yes you can move the resources but it only really works horizontally and you really just want to minimise going up and down

Do you need to go any "thinner" than mining every 2 blocks? ie, can something be hidden in two rows that won't show up unless you mine into those two rows?

Leaving a two block gap between tunnels means you can see every block. There's nowhere for anything to hide. With a three block gap, you can miss water and cobalt, since they show up in single blocks that could be in the middle row.

its annoying that you call the resources squares, circles and triangles rather then knowing the game you are playing game them each names. For example, iron, water , and cobalt. But you only speak in shapes like a kid in preschool? also annoying when you upgrade and say "ill take this and this" and click so fast we cant see what you took... I couldn't watch anymore because you made it hard to enjoy
