There is Irland and North Irland. So this country is called officialy North macedonia and not Macedonia. The real name of this country is historicaly Vardaska. But Tito change it. Macedonia is called the northern part of Greece. Macedonians were a greek race in the north of Greece. Macedonian language is a greek dialect that was spoken in the times of Alexander the great.

Macedonia was one of the worlds greatest empires which ruled the entirety of Greece, As time went the people who occupied todays "Greece" began to fight for independency and killed hundreds of people who were against them. Hundreds of people who claimed to be Macedonian and not Greek were killed and pushed out of their home. I'm not looking at written history I'm telling stories from my great grandparents. Accept that Alexander the great was truly Macedonian and Greece is a nation founded entirely by Macedonians.

Alexander was speaking Greek , his teacher was the greek philosopher Aristotle and born in Pella another Greek city , his father was Filippos who was speaking Greek !!
