I have been using 6-0 w/ 18% and cannot find 6-0 anymore. I have gray roots with brown hair. If it's dicontinued, what do you recommend without my hair getting brassy? 7-2? BTW, i get a lot of compliments on my hair and people are surprised I do it myself!!! Thank you!!

You have explained somewhere that best developer for grey hair that would go with -0 series is Schwarzkopf Professional Essensity Developer 5,5% 18 vol but it seems like this product has been discontonued. What would you recommend now to cover grey hair? I am currently in the possession of color 3-0, which develope to use to cover grey hair?
@SchwarzkopfProfessionalUSA2 ай бұрын
Hi there! Essensity has been replaced with the new Igora Royal Zero Amm color line, this line is used with all of our Igora Royal developers. Essensity colors are not made to be developed with anything other than it's dedicated developer. You could always switch to 3-0 in Zero AMM which will give you up to 100% grey coverage and you can use it with Igora Royal developers. I hope this helps!

I haven’t seen anything that mentions if the color contains PPD? Great video thank you. I have a client who has extreme reactions to dye. We currently use the only PPD line that says they don’t have PPD but she still has weeping on her scalp so I’m looking forward to trying this color line which has no amonia ect

Essensity now IGORA Zero is an ammonia free line that uses MEA. A patch test 48 hours prior to color is still recommended prior to the color application. Hope this helps 🍃

Hi! My original hair color is 6.0, and currently I use igora Royal 9.7 + 9.65. I want to start to use Essensity and as it doesn't have 9.7, I bought 8.77 , 9.55 and 10.14. Is it ok to mix these three colors? I have doubt because one of them is 10- serie.
@SchwarzkopfProfessionalUSA2 жыл бұрын
Great question! We do not recommend to mix the highlift 10- series with the core line in Essensity. I would maybe swatch it out first with equal parts of 8.77 + 9.64 + 9-55 with your selected developer.

My client has grays at the roots. She wants dark brown with a hint of red. Do I mix 3-0 with 3-8 OR all I need is 3-8 since the dark brown (3) and the red (8) are already mixed together? Her hair color is dark brown, but she wants medium brown tone. She has gray hair only at the roots. Would 18 volume developer be the right one? Thank you!
@SchwarzkopfProfessionalUSA2 жыл бұрын
That is going to depend on what kind of coverage or tone you are looking to achieve. The number before the dash indicates the level or depth and NOT the tonal direction, so in 3-8 for example, it is a level 3 red. The fashion shades provide up to 50% white coverage, so in order to achieve 100% white coverage you may want to include half your formula to be a Nature or Nature+ shade.

How to store the opened developer? How long does it last after opening the developer bottle?
@SchwarzkopfProfessionalUSA2 ай бұрын
Hello there thank you for your question. With storing our color/developer we recommend storing them inside at room temperature. Generally, unopened products last about 4 years, while opened tubes/bottles are good for 3-12 months. For any questions about how to check the batch numbers please send us a dm on Instagram @SchwarzkopfUSA 🩷💖

To make a fashion shade cover 100% grey instead of 50% grey, do you add a -0 or a -00? I'm confused how to choose. Thank you!
@SchwarzkopfProfessionalUSA3 жыл бұрын
Great question! The -00 series is meant for resistant grey-white hair. If the cuticle is coarse and very bumpy due to cuticle build-up this is an excellent option. The -0 series will provide 100% coverage on normal grey hair.

My daughter has sensitive scalp and really fine hair, can she use Essensity if she wants to have pink pastel highlights?
@SchwarzkopfProfessionalUSA2 жыл бұрын
Great question! For any color sensitivities we recommend doing a patch test with the selected colors 48 hours prior to any color service. Essensity is formulated to be more gentle with it's free from technology, however it's always advised to consult with your stylist and have a patch test done on either the inside of your elbow or behind the ear 48 hours prior to your service to ensure no reaction.

Hi, What color we have to choose for natural black color and which oil developer(vol. Number) need to be mixed for complete grey coverage
@SchwarzkopfProfessionalUSA Жыл бұрын
Hey there! We have a few options in this line for a beautiful black hair color. For 100% Grey coverage we do recommend mixing one part of your formula with -0 series (per example 10g 1-0 + 20g 2-2 + 30g 18vol Developer). Our 1-0 is the darkest color in the range being a natural neutral black. If that's too dark you can always mix in equal parts of 1-0 + 3-0 to get a 2-0 dark natural darkest brown color. Only in this line you will see a 2-2 which is a level 2 with a blue tone direction to give it a nice blue/black tone reflection. With this line we recommend 18 vol developer to get 100% Grey/white hair coverage. I hope that this helps! 🖤

How do I do the tone on tone process? If I use 18% developer, wont that automatically lighten my hair two tones?
@SchwarzkopfProfessionalUSA2 жыл бұрын
If you are looking to stay ON level or go darker, you could use 8vol developer if you choose. If you are looking for white coverage or using the Nature+ or Fashion & Cover shades, you will want to use 18vol or 28vol to develop the extra pigment in those colors.

Can i use amonia free lightener on stiches that was priviouse bleached with blondme +2% ? Can it couse bad reaction because i was using bleach with amonia in previous bleach?
@SchwarzkopfProfessionalUSA Жыл бұрын
Great question. The Essensity Ammonia Free Lightener would be a great option to use for just a small amount of lift. We wouldn't recommend placing the Essensity straight over the BLONDME 9+ Lightener. However if the BLONDME has been completely washed off and the hair is in good condition to handle the lightening service, you could use the Ammonia Free Lightener with 8 or 18 Volume Essensity Oil Developer. Hope this helps 💚

I always had a Love - Hate relationship with L’Oreal PREFERENCE it would color anyone (within the range 1 to 2 Levels) exactly the same, the color was beautiful but no matter what color or shade you started with you got the exact shade as the box great if you like ‘Perfect Cookie Cutter Color’ but not so much if you don’t want to look like the last person who used that shade. Clairol Nice ‘N Easy was just the opposite, even if you had six people with nearly the same shade each one would look a little different.
