Even speaking now with the hindsight of Legends Z-A, that was never going to happen. You could still transfer Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina before the raid event, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde are fully barred from entry. They'd have to update the game to MAKE them available, just for a raid event, and they don't update the game to allow more pokemon except alongside the release of DLC, usually to allow the pokemon that are IN that DLC.

they're strong but they're not already adding multipliers to other strong mons. If anything, Chi Yu and Chien Pao are the ones we should be raising our eyebrows at. besides, I think it makes more sense for them to emphasize last gen's DLC over legendaries from a decade ago, at least from a business perspective.

This is just me, but maybe that’s another factor as to why Regieleki got nerfed but not Regidrago. Beside Regieleki being really good in Gen 8, it doesn’t have to worry about staying healthy to spam powerful Thunderbolts or Electro Webs compared to Regidrago with Dragon Energy and Draco Meteor.

I can assure you that it has nothing to do with balance 'cus if they were worried about balance, they'd have either nerfed them or banned them from official play like they did with all the other box legends. It being about something coming in the near future makes much more sense. Quick reminder that we literally have Calyrex-Shadow in the game lol. GF doesn't care. I'm certain they're saving it for something coming, they're the only box legends not in the game and that's odd. There's also so many Kalos references in S/V.

I don't think Fairy aura and dark aura are that strong since the boost is only on one type, I think chi yu beads of ruin is stronger since you can pin your opponent with 2 very strong moves that almost nothing resist. I think the real problem is geomancy with defensive tera like steel, poison or water, it will centralize the game into Xerneas mirror matches, Xerneas would also be very good against miraidon and koraidon, the 2 strongest legendaries in the game.

i would say that one of the biggest problems with zygarde was that they were effectively only prevented from rampaging by xerneas and yveltal's existence,as they effectively were dynamax without needing dynamax and also when their hp doubled they also got a ton of hp back and got even more defense, setting this thing next to ting-lu with the possibility to turn zygarde's weakness to fairy into a resistance via terastallization into steel or poison would make it so incredibly hard to get off the board that it would be able to destroy things due to sheer tankiness, it has a slightly weaker earthquake that grounds opponents and doesn't hit your ally, a move that prevents switching out on both opponents and deals damage,a move that suppresses abilities on both opponents and deals damage, and it learns all these moves immediately. it would be incredibly powerful without xerneas to check it.

In short: they broken and there’s no way to fix them without everyone else suffering. Just sending them out gives them essentially +2 to their damage then +1 for STAB and another +2 for terastallizing. We’re at +5 on turn 1. I miss my life giving murder deer😢

The reason was probably due to them being scared of terastallized Xerneas or Yveltal since they're ability is that they give buffs to dark and fairy type so the get two buffs per turn so that probably why as well.

If the problem is stacking buffs, then why kyogre is still available? The auras are weaker weathers, the rain buffs all water attacks by 50% and kyogre has a free 150 water attack boosted by stab. They could easily nerf xerneas, like they did with zacian, zamacenta and regieleki.

You can change the weather, and it only lasts for 5 turns. The Auras are in effect as long as their ability isn't directly disabled. Also, Kyogre's Water Spout isn't free. At base 90 Speed, it needs speed control to get them off... which most players build their teams to deny.

And to make things better they nerfed BOTH of them for some reason. Game Freak's not worried about balance, they just want to make their current gen pokemon shine. I think that all 3 of Xerneas Yveltal and Zygarde were gonna abuse tera too well, Xerneas can just tera fairy for absurd stab damage or tera into something like fire or ground to beat steel types more easily with tera blast. Yveltal is likely the least game breaking of the 3 but the dark aura support for something like Urshifu or Kingambit would be quite gross on top of tera Zygarde is actually a really interesting case here, Zygarde in VGC was known for its Coil sets being absurdly difficult to kill, so imagine those sets being able to change into something like water fairy or even poison and negating your existing weaknesses including a x4 ice weakness which is really the only thing limiting Zygarde from being truly unkillable in the first place. Xerneas and Zygarde just seem like the best abusers of tera without question and for once, game freak made a W decision for us to leave em out
