Fun Fact for Far Cry fans who happened to stumble by: Far Cry 3 has a *strong anti-drug message* which usually slips past a lot of people's noses. The reason the weed farm is destroyed is to cripple the pirate's biggest export which will save thousands of lives in third world areas (Like the island itself) an innocents in the import countries in the process; Political commentary regarding the black market drug trade and that the "war of drugs" isn't doing enough to handle said problems in isolated areas. Huntley, the CIA agent, personally believes that the events within the game are more important than current Middle Eastern affairs around that same time, further showcasing these themes. This song was chosen most likely because they thought it was funny rather than anything to do with said themes. It's also implied Dr. Alec Earnhardt is mentally burned out from the "medication" he created through numerous mushrooms and plants on the island.. It's still one of the best games of 2012, and it's Blood Dragon expansion pack also being very good.

Fun fact, as far as percentages go, marijuana kills a fuckton (technical term) less people than tobacco and alcohol. If we were going to save lives, we'd be burning tobacco crops and blowing up distilleries. In the game, you do it because you get something out of it afterwards.

The problem with Far Cry 3 was that they had conflicting themes which made their ideals seem contradictory and pretentious. The writer's view on marijuana is that of it being equal to anything else as long as people die over it, it doesn't matter how or why. _(Game starts out with a group of dudebros getting piss drunk and making shit decisions, so that should be the biggest clue to what they were going for.)_ A lot of people say that the game "loses the story" as a result of these gameplay choices and conflicts _(Which I agree; they make something they want to be taken seriously a big joke section to avoid pissing people off.),_ but their initial idea was that.
