Kinda hard to explain but 130 is kinda like half 170, they can both have drum kicks happening at the same time, so the bpm is defined kinda by the genre and accompanying noises.
@moritzbruggemann37424 жыл бұрын
@@cyberoverkill5844 I dont really get your point. Half of 170 is 85 which is also nowhere near 130. Its more like 3/4 of 170. Which would be 127,5 but even then the rythm would be quite different🤔

Jim Morrison actually predicted a guy like Skrillex. In the entire interview you can find on youtube ...he talks about the future of music. Says at some point he could see someone alone on stage playing music through a computer or electronic devices. Isn't that unreal and ironic that his bandmates would be a part of that? The future is uncertain and the end is always near ....well ...Jim was very perceptive ..smart intelligent..very surprising to see he wasn't like his media image. He also said in the same interview if you had someone who gave you a lot of money and you went away and secluded yourself to write songs and create an album it probably wouldn't be very relevant. You would be out of touch. I think there are a lot of people out of touch!!!!!

Skrillex feat.

The most awesome thing about this video is the way Skrillex reacts when he meets the Doors. It seems like he becomes insecure of the idea to live up to them while working because he admires them so much. Future artists might have a same situation with Skrillex.

I love how nervous you can see Sonny is in this old video, at the start it's like he's super worried he's just insulted his childhood heroes and influence, but as soon as the riff gets going and both parties get into each others groove it all works out for the best, he even goes out of their view to celebrate for quick moment. The idea of not only meeting your heroes but actually collabing with them is a giant leap and must have been terrifying since it's not only his heroes he'd be letting down if he fucked it up but his parents who introduced them to him as well, and this was like only a year or two after he became a big name. Glad he's back doing more stuff.

Edit: I got a lot of hate for giving credit where it was due. Skrillex revolutionized mainstream music and brought electronic music to the big stages. I wasn't talking about the underground UK scene lol. For all of my new visitors: This was 2011. This is pre-dubstep gutter, pre-Skrillex mainstream success, pre-EDM becoming a massive player in the genre field for Western Music (which was caused by the man you see on screen) amongst many other literally ridiculous events. Before Skrillex, EDM was very bare bones, very dry, and club built music. This man is a pioneer in every sense of the word, and is also a hands on musician, mastering many instruments, not just a keyboard. So before you go shitting on "the song being underwhelming" or anything of the sort, keep in mind this man literally revolutionized music in many ways lol.

Bro I relate to your enthusiasm about the legacy but what the hell are you talking about romanticizing the past where it's not needed? Skrillex was immensly popular by 1 or even 2 years by the time he did the collab with The Doors, imagine everyone knew him back in my Romania like wat 😄 it's only been a decade and we're already perfuming memories?

Guetta too completely changed EDM with famous US rappers collabs that was completely unique at that time and opened EDM to mainstream in USA and worldwide. Whether you like his music or not it's really a fact. Then came the popification of EDM we have today

@stephaneprivate10132 жыл бұрын
@@SpektrikMusic With all respect to Lady Gaga who is an amazing singer, sokg writer and live performer, her genre has nothing to do with EDM, it's not because you have some synth leads in a track that it is EDM. Lady Gaga is pure Modern Pop that includes some electronic elements. Guetta brought House music / Electro House to the masses thanks to his collabs with famous US singers (Kelly Rowland) and rappers. Any music journalist would agree there's a before and after.

I'm 57 and I'm a huge fan of Dubstep and Skrillex. Back in the 90's till 2003 I used to throw Raves in the Pittsburgh and Cleveland area's. I used to favor break beats but Dubstep is so much better. I love this mix. I've been a metalhead since I was 2 and a half years old. I used to have all of the Doors album's. I moved not far away and forgot my huge album collection and my Step-dad threw all of my albums in the trash. This is one of the coolest mixes I've ever heard! Props to Skrillex and the Doors!!❤❤❤

Tinnyalla Well, when you only need a basic understanding of music fundamentals and a better understanding of software, plugins and peripherals in order to create music, then imo the final product isn't going to be that musical. I understand personal tastes and all, and to each their own, and that Skrillex has a talented ear for creating songs.....but master musicians spend thousands of hours learning to do what you could teach a 5 year to replicate on a computer in about 5 minutes. And the 5 year old would still have no understanding of what they created anyways or how it fits in or rejects the larger "music" picture.
