He's balanced (at least in the PMDT's eyes). His magic system is new. Meaning for him to get to that balanced level as long as it takes for people to get familiar with his magic system.

samus has a beam that you can charge and hold, a seeker missile, a bomb in her bomb form, and just a straight up middle that goes straight

+OneDoomedAngelo They have different attack properties. Different hitboxes, flying trajectories, power, etc. I don't know how to explain it.

+OneDoomedAngelo Samus can switch between Ice and Fire Mode by taunting in PM. All fire moves turn into ice variants after that and vice versa. Fire Samus is Melee Samus basically.

In terms of the ice beam and regular attacks the ice variations are generally just faster and most are not multi-hitting. Also they usually have more priority.

True, ESAM is a beast. I do think that samus has too good of a tether recovery though; it is unpunishible if provided the player is skilled enough to cancel it and do the up b instead.

I think Ike is fine where he is. His up B is a little annoying because he kind of teleports, but if you stay on him while he is recovering, you can gimp him while he is throwing his sword and staying in that one place. Pikachu's back air comes to mind when I think of countering that up b.

It is legitimately insane how well Armada can hit with those arrows. I'm serious. It's fucking INSANE how well he does that. To be honest, I hated Pit's inclusion into Smash, I don't like his design at all, or his voice, or his games (with the exception of Kid Icarus's classic music) but no matter what, I can't hate on these arrows. It's just too pretty to hate.

Yep, her side taunt switches between the default fire and her ice mode. It's hard to notice, but at the very beginning of game 1 ESAM taunt cancels off the edge of the platform to switch to ice mode almost immediately, since there currently isn't a way to start with ice mode. Currenty the effected moves are - dtilt sideb fsmash upsmash fair with the latter two being the most notably different.

I feel as though Armada is getting "exposed" (so to speak). He's placing worse and worse in tournament and all the other top players are starting to adapt and counter his play-style. Not saying that Armada is bad or anything (cause that's obviously not true), but the gap between him and the other top five (Mango, PPMD, M2K, and Hbox) seems to be growing. You can also look at it the other way, the gap between him and those just outside the top five (Hax, Westballz, Leffen, are the first that come to mind for Melee, while there are too many great players in PM to list here) seems to be shrinking.
