Did anyone else notice the use of the whistle-call (I think it's a shakuhachi?) to simulate the cry of a bird? The original Nue monster was said to mimick the calls of the scaly thrush at night. NICE shoutout to the original mythology; this would make an excellent boss battle music for a Nue in a Nioh-type game, or even a tabletop D&D game.

Definitely a Monster Hunter or Dark Souls vibe, here. Could see Nue jumping between disguises while UFO familiars shoot at the player from the top of the arena, out of reach from any melee weapon, slashing with her trident when going into an attack pattern in her normal form.

Hey thanks for leaving this comment, it's very interesting to hear that sample used in another game. I know of this bit of music from Monster Hunter (tower ambience theme) but Freelancer came before, so both games must have gotten this sample from some other source. I have no clue where, but it sure is interesting to see that two wildly different games have it.

hammergon587 ...360p refers to "360 pixels" being the vertical resolution of the video. Audio quality is not in any way affected by the resolution. Also this is an arrangement, not a remix.

I can confirm this. I checked the available audio streams for this video and youtube has a 96 kbit/s version and a 128 kbit/s version available. If you upload 720p or 1080p, while I do have seen some 152 kbit/s and 192 kbit/s streams before, often also top just at 128kbit/s. So the best audio on this video is essentially the same as on many other 720p and 1080p videos. If you want the best quality, maybe try to hunt down the CD or digital download it came from and try to get it in 320 kbit/s or some lossless format.
