how can you be enslaved by disney? they can't control you. you decide to work for them. that's all that is. songs have to have meaning to the general public to relate to. To me this song represents how i don't need to look a certain way or act a certain way. How sometimes it feels like i need to buy certain clothes to look youthful and "fuckable" when it's all just in my head and that i wasn't born to try to live in this material world that is all fake and in my head. Also that people aren't objects and no matter what other people come across as to me they are just people like me. Maybe to demi or christina they relate to this song as the music business but to me this is just my general life. Yesterday i was walking home from work and listening to this and i thought this was so true to my life. Life shouldn't be wasted trying to live in a material world that doesn't exist.

its funny I paused the video and said it reminded me of Divergent and Maze Runner. Especially when they break out of their false realities and enter the outside world they've been missing out on, but the song to me almost feels like a vocal battle. They both have very powerful voices and it was like their were using their voices to fight back while whey were being dominated. I was about to comment on the makeup thing but Imma leave in peace lol. Im fine with my bareface, but there's just levels to this. Especially when you just look at history of women as a whole.

I dunno if it’s specifically about the entertainment industry but it definitely speaks to women everywhere who have at one time or another been objectified, I dont wanna try and speak for everyone but Ive experienced it. Guys just hit me up on social media without a “Hello” “How you doing” LITERALLY the first thing they say is send me some nudes, if even that polite. As if thats what a woman is for, dehumanizing us. Reducing women to a tool for sexual gratification.
