This Skull and Bones Brigantine build is incredible, it will literally destroy everything in your path, I've had many fights against higher level ships and even PvP battles for legendary treasure maps and this Brigantine build Skull and Bones has rarely ever let me down.
The Skull and Bones Brigantine has a perk that benefits from ramming which makes this ship fun as well as strong and fast and I've come across lots of players in the Brigantine Skull and Bones with different builds that I've obliterated so I thought I would share my build to help you out.
Some people might not enjoy this Brigantine Skull and Bones build but it's the most fun I've had with the ship so it's at least worth trying. This is almost the exact build I use. It’s great in pvp too. I use fire bombard 3 instead of torpedos and fire long gun 3 instead of long gun 5. also use elemental damage furniture, extra damage furniture for mortar, extra damage on ablaze status effect and the furniture that give you health back on crew attacks which is great with the zamzamas perk that increases chance of crew attacks.

3 fire bombards. Level 3. One ballista. Level 3. Royal custy armor, level one repair kits, with a level 3 enhanced kits for hairy situations. You can spam royal custy armor buff, with 20 second cooldown repair 1s. Sate kambing food for sailing, bitterballen for fights. Thats it. Best set up in game atm.

@@billr1805 bombard element damage. Charge for ablaze. Projectile speed of all weapons. Projectile speed of bombard. I like to use the megaphone for reload speed, but the 300% acceleration is nice too for brake checking motar fire

For PvE I go for the Scrapper furniture. When you get into the thick of it and can chain crew attacks or boarding, you basically don't die. And if you miss them, having the Ouroboros or the Royal Custodian armor and bonuses is solid backup.

@@ThinkingCap_ Depending on what I'm doing I'm usually just changing the Port/Star guns from Basilisks to Fire Bombards. Rolling all bombards on the Padewakang procs its effect. Good for when you're in the thick of things. Culverins theoretically higher DPS than anything, but you have to be really good about hitting every one of those shots. On the front I have the Sea Fire from the ghost ship and on the back Mon Megs for taking out buildings.

I would alter this build quite a bit, but you have the right idea. Use the increased Hull HP instead of Front Powder. Replace Torpedo bonus with any other weapon bonus (Since I would replace Torpedos) Use the Leopold instead of the basic Mortar. The Great Springald on the Front, or Scurlock's Chasers (The Great Springald Ballista is far superior IMO). And Fire Bombards instead of Torpedos. Torpedos are insanely easy to avoid, and mortars are pretty easy to avoid too, but are more reliable than Torpedos. The armor, is kind of give and take. Royal Custodian is fine if it's all you have. But once you get access to The Black Prince, or the Ouroboros, they are far superior. You definitely have the idea down. Chasing you want Scurlock's Chasers/Great Springald for tearing to catch up. After ramming, get in close and Demi Cannon (Zamzama) blast the piss out of them. The Leopold is great over the Mortar, because it also causes Flooding. While Zamzama and Leopold/Ram cause Fire/Flooding, just keep pegging away with Zamzamas until they sink. Crew Attack every available chance to stop them from retaliating/running away. And then Board them for the sink to steal all their stuff. (Yes boarding steals people's items in PvP, basically steals everything except for Repair Kits, and Ammunition. 🙃)

Scurlock chaser up front until you get the long nines definitely worth farming the 1000 gold skull rum to get! I prefer the king nines over the ballista plus once you break the sail you get a 7k DPS drop. I use the exact build he described with the black prince armor and it’s absolutely a curbstomper in PVE and PVP. Hope to see you out there one day I’ll show you what it can do! ;)

The bombards are the best weapons all around. For front use the 110 score ballista for best chasing DPS and insane weak spot snipes in pve And the Brig is the best ship by far. Just because of the 18 knots max speed, with water it goes 20! Plus more HP and more blocking power. The Sambuke is very bad. The burn damage is not even noticeable to be honest

The leather rope furniture helps with stamina. 15% reduction when trimmed plus food helps with stamina burn.

If you run this in pvp takeovers you are going to get absolutely curbstomped. Instead run this build; Blue spectre front, teariling culverins x2, the Termites and Meg mons bombard back. Focus on flooding and hamstringing the enemy. Float like a butterfly sting like a stingray.

Your build doesn't kill fast enough in Takeovers. You need to one hit kill ships or other players will get the points for finishing off what you've already damaged. Doesnt matter the other player kills you in a takeover; that doesnt score any points.

This is a good early Kingpin build. When you get more established I recommend the following. - Zamzama 3s on both left and right - scurlock’s long nines on the front - Darnadelle’s bombards on the back - Leopoldo 3 auxiliary. For food I focus Bitterballen Get any grilled food and just make sure you’re using it every 15 seconds to replenish stamina. If you use bracing, you can take on level 12+ ships no problem. Even soloing the Opwelling. For furniture use what works best for you but I tend to focus elemental damage boostinga and crew attack boost furnitures. Also make sure to get the furniture that repairs 1% pema dmg out of combat to fix perma damage during pvp when you respawn. As for strategy you want to make sure you initiate with a ram, blast them with your Zamzama on one side then spin to win and fire off your bombard on your rear. Then swing back and your Zamzama should be ready to go for another salvo. At that point you’ll have sunk or are nearly ready to sink any player as they will have fire, flooding, and perma health damage reducing their max HP. And spam the crew attacks as those are super powerful. Tl:dr - Zamzama 3s, bombards, crew attack, force feed your crew food and brace.

And in most cases it’s better to use repair kit 2s to heal smaller and faster, as well as restoration kits when you get debugs like fire and flooding. People forget those all the time.

I need to get hold of some Zamzama IIIs for mine. Currently using that Spectral Seafire, Long Nines at the back and Zam IIs on the sides, with the Royal Custodian armour. Its exceeding power level 11 now but could hit a bit harder form the sides. I tend not to bother with ramming in the Brig as its only really effective vs weaker ships. Ramming barely tickles 'mini boss' NPC ships; Ghost ship, merchant convoys, level 10+ bounties.

@@DerRusher 1. There’s a cool down on eating so not “infinite” the stamina isn’t just for sailing. It’s used for regenerating your hull shield which you deplete a lot in battle so having a well managed stamina bar is important. It’s easier to do that with a cooked meal that will give you stamina regen while your food is on CD

Im running the same ship with the exotic Shurlock long 9s on the front, a Zam on one side the Dardanelles guns on the other side, Fire bombarder on the rear and the mortar. That stuff rips through anything. I can sink the rogue ships in 1 shot with the dardenelle and a slight damage from the mortar

I just use Fire Bombard 3s all around with mortar. It has good range and dps. All other weapons feel like wet noodles. Furniture i use are movement speed and armor. Dont need extra dmg mods when the bombards are tuff

I feel like everyone is sleeping on the sheer tanking ability of the snow for pvp. It may be a max of 13 knots, but I’ve noticed it pushes through headwind and never drops below 11/12 depending on how fast your sails angle around. When I use a brig it almost always gets stuck going 14 knots for half the journey because the headwinds find a way. That being said, unless you’re able to always find the perfect ramming angle against real people, the snow just out dps and tanks the brig in every conceivable way. I’ve taken on multiple brigs at the same time and walked away after sinking both of them. Planning to buy the furniture that repairs 1% of health per second when under 20% to make an already unkillable ship that much more frustrating.

For PvE ship to ship the Zamazama imo is the best weapon. They shred anything quick. This is what I mostly use to speed through takeovers. I'm more a hybrid build. Fire Bombards on starboard until I can get Daracelles or whatever they're called Zamazama on port I do have torpedoes on the back but keep flipping around on them - I want to go Scurlocks once I get them to slow down ships Bow... I keep experimenting but usually favor fire bombards. Maybe Scurlocks here instead of back to slow down ships for ramming.

long nines on front for sure... i run them on brig with zamazama III's on broadside... i actually want a second pair off long nines for the back ;-) not tooo sure about the zamazama yet, i still need to test the flooded demi-canons... so all-out flooded with the +10% furniture 🙂 sure i could put dardanelles on the back, but i don't feel like it... i run dardanelles (all 4 + leopold III mortar) on my bombardier "bombard" build", makes more sense to me based on perks the ship gives than putting them on the brig...

The setup is pretty good but here's what I run with. I run with fire bombard IIIs on the front for massive damage as in about to ram. Then culverin Vs ill be replacing them with the tearing Culverin IIIs . I run with the mortar III but will be replacing when i get leopuld III. And im the back I run flooding demi cannons III. So you can chunk out extra damage on the enemy ship after you ram them and they're behind you. Edit: sorry for my terrible grammar im not use to phones and typing on them

that's what i run on the padewakang aka "bombardier"... just makes more sense based on perks the ship gives you.... 4 dardanelles + leopold III mortar.... for "Forts" replacing leopold with mons meg... (dont have them yet... but that would give an additional 50% to structure, so you would be at 100% additional dmg against structures....) i use the brig most of the time though for the 19 knots, but different setup... no bombards there ;-)

colonial shipment event can drop the royal custodian - you can even check with the spyglass if one of em is holding the armor before you even attack them.... so you know if you will get it or not before going into the battle...

Are you talking about the Privateers or the Fara Clan? For the Fara clan you have to complete a quest for the sea people i think its called burried at sea.

Enhanced Repair kits are much better. Enhanced Repair Kit 1 gas 40 sec cool down and heals 50% 2 has 80 sec cool down and 75% and 3 is 180 seconds and 90%

For something like the snow with 50,000 health it would be good to use enhanced 3 but the cooldown is too long, 2 is probably best because it would do more than normal repair kit 3 with a shorter cooldown 👍

No they don’t need nerf them you just need to grind better avoid PvP finish missions only until you get the bombadier ship at least. I don’t have any problems with them as much when you get better armor and weapons. This game is supposed to challenge your experience in building and fighting strategy and if they nerf it then it won’t even be fun

It depends. I'm using the bombardier in co op to attack multiple targets close to another or to bombard settlements. And the brigantine just shreds ships. I like to play both but there isn't really one better ship. It depends on your playstyle and what your personal objective is. I would say they are both great ships😊

It’s personal preference and I would say for grouped enemies the bombardier is fantastic but for single targets 100% the brig is better 👍

I mean, I tried the ubisoft trial for this game. After 10 minutes, uninstall. Too arcade, canons shoots in any angle, you don't need to be in specific position to be able to shoot, you can just do it no matter what. Go on ship or go off the ship, no animation, nothing. Too many fetch quests for almost no reason. You are too limited ( at first at least ) on the sea and can't go anywhere you want. Controls makes me think I'm playing a mobile game.
