It's absolutely insane that this game is still going. My theory was that the game would be shut down during September when it had almost zero players online. But here we are, I suppose. Edit: I forgot to mention that Honor has been going on for 8 years now and nobody expected it to last this long either. Another ubisoft title btw

Dude X defiant had literally millions more players than skull and bones ever did at its peak and it gets shut down in under a year but this game gets to keep living? How does that make any sense? The all time peak of skull and bones on steam is less than 3,000 players in pretty sure, XDefiant had a million players less than an hour after its launch, I didn’t even love XDefiant all that much but it’s simple math lol, Ubisoft deserves to get bought out at this point

If Ubislop actually changed the game to be more like Black Flag where you can leave the ship to board other ships and have actual hand to hand combat, exploring islands, hunting animals, etc. it could actually make a comeback. But it's probably too complex to implement for a lazy studio like them. They had 7 years to implement this system. If they had any interest in making the game good, they would've done so by now. It's too late. Skull & Bones will become skull and bones at any moment now. But I guess Ubicrap can use some of the scraps to make the guaranteed to be disappointing Black Flag Remake that's been rumored for a while now.

Skull and bones might be a really bad game, but it's still a lot better than SSKTJL because it's a bit more unique than a standard multiplayer FPS, even though the ship combat in Skull & Bones does feel excessively FPS like. SSKTJL should have had more melee combat and it should specifically have had co-op combos and takedowns to make the action interesting.

Skull and Bones is just a meh game, but it's not intentionally offensive like SS, Concord, or every other game with obviously annoying characters and stuff, though to be fair that could be because there are barely even characters in the game.
