Hi!! I am currently furring my first ever toony skull dog. And I have a couple questions 😅 First, what type of stitching did you use? Second, how do you sew* pieces together that are already glued on? third, are there any tips you have for beginners? And fourth, for the inner area of the ears that was pink, is using fur or felt easier? For the fur for the insides of the ears, I sewed them to the rest of the ear. Do I glue it on separately to create that dimension? Tysm for this video, this makes me so excited to fur my skullie! And tysm if you answer the questions because every single one will help we tremendously ❤

I use a blanket stitch to sew fur
@shadowcreations92 жыл бұрын
Hi, i use the the blanket stitch to sow fur pieces, also to sow fur or fabric thats already glued down i use either a blanket stitch again but only with long fur as it hides it or a ladder stitch! For the inside pf the ears i recommend minky fabric or fur but that is up to you! Also what i do is glue on the i side of the ear first and the sow it to the rest of the fur around the ear.

I might be making my own skull dog soon but I am wondering what you would do about attaching things like horns/antlers ontop of the head(not on the skull)is that possible or
@shadowcreations9 Жыл бұрын
It depends what material they are, if they are plush then it would be possible to sow them onto the fur but if plastic, or any other material, then gluing them down onto a piece of extra foam and covering with fur would work. Just experiment when you get your skull and see what is the best way to attach them!

Do you know how I can make magnetic eye lids and a magnetic hair tuft on my already made skull cat? The maker forgot about some stuff- maybe give her eyeliner like your skull suit has?
@shadowcreations9 Жыл бұрын
Gosh hope its not too late to answer, you can hide magnets under the fur but youd need some strong earth magnets for that. Im not sure about magnetic eyelids, maybe put the magent behind the eye lid and eye mesh? My eyelids just stay in the skull and their not magnetic :)

Generally, how much fur would you recommend you purchase for a fully furred neck+hood+ears? I know it varies, but say for a solid colored hood+neck, (not my design, just as an example-) how many yards roughly would you recommend to buy? I wanna make sure I don’t buy too little, panic, and risk having that particular color be out of stock. Also, would you recommend sand papering the base before gluing more than cutting lines? Either works, I’d like like to know if one of them works better then the other.
@shadowcreations911 ай бұрын
I don't know yards but if im furring a skully with one solid colour i usually go with 0,8m x 150cm ,so i can have a bit more left incase i made any mistakes. Sanding or cutting with a blade are both good options! I usually do cutting as sanding leaves a bit of a mess ^^

Hi! Where did you get the stand that you use to sort of "prop up" the mask while you're taping it? I want to find a cheap one since I'm not sure I'll be making any other fursuits in the future. Is it absolutely necessary for the process? Thanks

Its a monster maker manequinn head Ed, you can definitely find cheaper options out there. This is not exactly necessary but it just helps a lot while getting the pattern!

Hi I’m currently saving up for all these materials and was wondering a few things, Where did you get your mask and for a that mask is a small how much fur do you think I would need? Would it be more than a yard if so how much thank you ❤
@shadowcreations9 Жыл бұрын
Hi, check the description please first before commenting!! I usually get around 0,9m x 150cm of fur if its the same colour! That covered the ears and hood for me just fine along with a tail
