Such as the end of her story mode where as she’s sitting on Vitale in victory, she then has a look on her face meaning she regretted killing Ms Fortune. And most recently, in Umbrella’s story mode, even though Cerebella hates the Reinor family, she didn’t want to fight nor kill Umbrella since she was a small child. I’m not saying she’s entirely good, but she is good at heart.

@Dauren Ledergufher Even though it's "just a plot", Eliza's story is the least enjoyable, fun and quite frankly, is the most dark and cruel storyline in the game. There's a reason why people like Darth Vader, the Joker, Thanos and Dracula as villains: they're all entertaining, they have (at least as Vader, Dracula and Joaquin Phoenix's Joker are concerned), sympathetic backstories behind their evil, and most of all, are well written. Eliza, on the other hand, is a backstabing, power-hungry monster who, surprise surprise, was Alex Ajad's (the lead character designer behind Skullgirls), favorite character. Ultimately, is safe to say that Eliza is just a egyptian bimbo who, in any other game, wouldn't have gotten away with killing Cerebella and Squigly and Leviathan; kidnapping, torturing, humilliating and eating Ms. Fortune; and holding Filia and Samson against their wills and threatening to kill the former. It's obvious Eliza is Alex's crush; not even M. Bison story modes are as bleak and brutal. Hell, the only reason Eliza succeeds in her goals is because Alex wanted it to be that way. And people say George Lucas is a bad writer... at least none of his characters were as one-dimensional, overpowered and pathetic as Eliza. And screw Albus and Horace too. Lowbrow sidekicks that would be beaten down pretty easily in any other story. Thank God this isn't canon, because I'm pretty sure that if it was indeed canon, there would be tons of fanfics, mods, and hate webs dedicated to this abomination.

So my guess is queen Lamia gave Marie an extra breath at the end there, using whatever remaining power the skullheart might've had, while also convincing her that protecting the medici was better than letting Eliza do her thing, I mean, she has authority over the skullheart, so she could easily turn off the evil setting that corrupts the girl's mind. Just makes you think what kind of attrocities she is capable of if the people that did what poor Patricia had to go through are still better than her.

Someone finally shows up who has the power to break the Skullheart's cycle (and not do it through fulfilling its goals like the robots) and people recoil because she's not fluffy and wants to impose her will onto the world? Pathetic. People do realize that the ultimate purpose of any Skullgirl is to become the same as what the Night King is/was in ASOIAF, right? Marie is a far better character than NK because we actually see her while she still has control and we can easily sympathize with her, but that is still her fate and purpose, and the world where any Skullgirl wins would be no different to Westeros where Night King won. Eliza's world is a place where you have to put up with an egomaniac in charge of everything (though the world is already ruled by kingdoms/empires and a mafia, so it's not that big of a change) and some people will be murdered for their blood (though she says Double has already given her everything she needed, so maybe not.) In return, she'll wreck the Skullheart whenever it re-emerges. If you are an ordinary person and not one of the main characters or rulers, Eliza's world is a far safer place to be in than pretty much any other ending.

Oh my god. Eliza was always my least favourite character by far. One thing probably was, I knew nothing about her other than what ive seen from her fighting and lines. I dont think ive seen her appear once in any other story.. But now, after this story.. oh my god I kinda love her?? And this story is so good?? I think its pretty simple. For characters that don't know who she is, she will probably be left to make a new plan. For characters that do.. Either infinite torture or death, since they all hate her.
