Everyone is just hopping on a bandwagon because they made it harder to see a kids' panties and removed nazi/racist imagery.

@@Red_Eggie steam has a system that removes review bombs, and I am an "og player" that has had the game since release with 500+ hours on the game. The actual Skullgirls fans don't give a shit because the gameplay is what we care about. The only valid thing to be mad about with the censorship was that some of the artbook content was removed, the other changes were literally in the game and unnoticed prior to the announcement because nobody is actively looking or caring about it.

If I had one complaint with Marie, it's that the readability of her attacks suffers from her huge dress. I'm open to it being just that I'll just get used to what all her moves look like as I see her more, but I really feel like some of her moves have kinda blobby silhouettes that are hard to read. I'm guessing that's one of the big reasons why most of the characters have exposed legs or really short skirts, because the legs really help the composition of each pose and make combos look more dynamic. When I go frame-by-frame with Marie, I can tell how elegant and furious she is, dancing around her opponent in one moment and slamming her weight around the next. It conveys her character really well, if you can see it. She has some bigger, simpler attacks and poses that read really clearly, but some of her grounded normals really suffer. The beginning of SonicFox's combo at 5:22, for example, is really hard to make out since the silhouette is really dominated by the semicircle shape of her dress. She does four very distinct grounded actions in a row, and I didn't even realize she was literally suplexing a skeleton until one of the announcers said she was. That might partially because of her weapon design? Like for most of the cast who use a signature weapon, they have a huge one. Weapons that have really simple and clear forms that really helps the characters' readability at a glance. Annie's massive sword, the sisters' respective umbrellas, and the Hurting are all designed in a way to contribute towards that point. One of skullgirls' greatest strengths in my opinion is being a heavily stylized and free 2D fighter which allows the artists more freedom to stretch and squash forms and make really great poses. It does not take long at all watching Parasoul fight to see how refined and iron-fisted she is. It reads in her kit, her posing, the rhythm of her combos. In contrast, it really did take me slowing it down to try and understand what Marie's character is supposed to be (and supposed to be doing) from her animations. When she is using her vacuum or other rod-like implements as weapons, it's very clear, but when she's doing other attacks, movement, or getting combo'd it's really hard to make out what exactly she's doing. Like it was entirely unclear to me that L shoulder slam was a spin until I went frame-by-frame. Her vacuum loses shape during those things, and because both ends of it are very symmetrical while the middle is entirely amorphous, it's harder to tell exactly what's happening at a quick glance. I don't really blame the animators on this, I'm sure they did their best with a model that they Honestly couldn't really make any changes at this point in development, and basically all of her jumping buttons and all of her blockbusters look awesome. It just sorta bugs me.

I don't really see how the game would benefit from another installment. if they did that and did anything just a little too wrong or not different enough, most people would probably just continue playing 2nd encore because of how good it is

@@frust9030 they covered some panty shots, removed the imagery of big band getting beaten by the cops, made many of fillias panties darker in color, covered up some skin in a shot with cerebella , removed the comb in fillias hair for her burst, iirc they also removed some fan artwork, and censored some concept art in the digital art book. Also they removed an announcer pack. Also altered a scene in doubles story mode. Changed the 18 combo hit milestone from "barely legal". Removed the doujin reference from the anime peacock voice pack. Also removed all armbands from the black egrets.
