after maintenance was finished i played some of parallel and omg it was really fun! the constant notifs from the new backstage pass tho is a little annoying but thats because i just started it lol ,, also from the comments, idk why people are howling about "muh censorship" with the update at all considering theyre mainly covering up filia, who's like, 16? valentine, parasoul, cerebella, BD, ms. fortune, double (,, i guess) still have their panties out in the wind bc theyre all OF AGE. no one is going to starve here bro 😭 why are we buggin

@@djpegao i thought the parasoul / black egrets one was warranted personally, not a glaring issue but i see the implication. the big band one i dont think was needed at all considering his lore was that he got beat up by cops due to him finding out the squad were dirty cops linked with the mafia, not that hes black. i get *why* they made the change, but with context, removing that scene wasnt really needed.

The new Double variant looks soo coool! Reminds me of one I came up with as an idea Double Variant: Only Nothing Reference: Nothing There (Lobotomy Corp) Element:Fire SA 1: "Hello?" Start the match with a 10 second unflinching, whenever the opponent lands a critical hit, gain a 3 second unflinching, 5 second invincibility and 5 second immunity. SA2: "GOODBYE" when you land a critical hit, you have a 3% chance to INSTANTLY defeat the opponent regardless of buffs, defeating an opponent this way gives 3 stacks of regen for 10 seconds. Would be a variant similar to Neuromancer, focusing a lot more on hp than attack, allowing it to make more use of its regen and invincibility to keep it in the fight. Would definitely try to run a crit build/hp/piercing. Could serve either as an offensive variant or a defensive one.

I was hoping for a new big band variant, but instead characters that really don't need new variants have new variants. Annie, umbrella, and double have 4 diamond variants now. All while big band remains as the worst character in the game. And he's my favorite character.

Well, puritanism and censorship are the issues here. I'm not annoyed because "Oh no the panties", but because censorship in general is a blight on everything, from all kinds of freedom to creativity. Now it did give horrible stuff like Batman's show most frightening scenes that became worse because of the censorship. But all kind of censorship is a no in my book.

Edit: alright the armbands removal were a bit too much. The "lewd elements" argument was also overstretched judging by the total amount of censoring. Deleting stuff that people paid for (paid artbook) is also not a particularly good move on the publisher's part.
