Dave, you're easily one of my favorite motovloggers. Please don't quit... I know that you're not getting the views you should be, but those are just dead channels. Your actual fans are still watching you. Toots

Hey mate, fellow drzsm rider here from all parts of Australia. Starting to really rate you as a top motovlogger, I didn't used to watch much of your stuff, but lately I have and loving it! I'm finding a lot of the big vloggers that I used to enjoy have really gone down hill, and its a shame. Keep keeping (is that even proper English?) it real mate. Seriously valve (or whatever the banner name is now), HL3 already, its been fucking 12 years since HL2!!!!

It surpassed the DOT rating and it passed ECE. Most helmets are only DOT and like Chase was saying in the review, snell doesn't really matter because even the variant isn't snell. But I agree with you with everything else, Skully was a shady brand. I think they did it to make money and push helmet companies to come out with those kind of helmets.
@LoudandDave8 жыл бұрын
So it did pass DOT? Snell is, from what I understand, and this is back from my car racing days, SNELL is a car/truck racing rating, that the helmet can take getting smacked into roll bars and such. Some tracks made you have a SNELL helmet. Some bike helmets may have it, but it isn't really needed. Although if you fall and slide into a metal fence post...
@JustJesseOfficial8 жыл бұрын
+LoudandDave Yeah it passed DOT, not snell though. But now that you explained it, I see why it's important. But as I mentioned usually track helmets have the snell, but it isn't needed. But other than that, what you said in your video, it was a ripoff, sadly.

Could've figured that Skully was to good to be true. It just kind of rubbed salt in the wound when the asking price was $1500, and then they spent years talking about their product. Just for to close after such a short life.

People just wanted to be first on the block with the latest novelty that is why they paid in full upfront

Yo Dave I'm trying to mount an LED light bar (looks to be very similar / same as yours) where did you get your bracket at or how did you end up fabricating it? I can't figure out a good solution for mounting my light bar it just doesn't really line up with anything. Going to have to make a bracke and was wondering how you did yours. Any chance you could take a picture of it or something and send it to me? Just trying to get some ideas.

Hey, so mine is bolted to an aluminum bar that is bolted to my handguard mounts. I can take a pic and put it on my facebook later. Mine is REALLY ghetto because I was in a huge hurry when I did it. I meant to make a nicer one eventually but then I said fuck it because this is rhok solid.

+LoudandDave Thanks for the response, yea that's about how I was planning on doing mine I have limited tools in my new house though so bending the metal into shape will be tough. I'll check Facebook. I'm looking for basic functionality lmao I can make it pretty this winter.

I completely forgot about the pic... and I just burried my bike in the garage for vacation. Crap. Let me see if I can get in to it.

The whole Skully thing is just shameful and shady from (almost) start to finish. Now I don't think it was supposed to be a scam from the get-go, I believe they genuinely wanted to (and thought they could) bring their helmet to the market, but I think they soon realized they were in way over their heads and they simply could not make it happen. That's when they started acting shady. Ignoring or lying to people who had paid hundreds upon hundreds of dollars as a down payment or even the full price as a pre-order. Kept saying shit like "any moment now" and "we're in production now" and "we're shipping pre-orders now". Then, boom!, they're out of business and people who paid for the helmet are likely not going to see neither a helmet nor get their money back. The money's gone, spent.

DUDE ITS GETTING WORSE Have you read the reports that they were using the investor money to go to strip clubs and shit?
@mannydcbianco8 жыл бұрын
LoudandDave Jesus fuck, seriously? These people will probably do well to go into hiding for a long time, in case they somehow don't end up in prison. There are going to be a lot of pissed off people looking for them.
@mannydcbianco8 жыл бұрын
Ok, I just read up on the latest news. Holy fucking mother of Bob. If even a fraction of what they're being accused of is true they're in a for a world of hurt. Two Dodge Vipers, one Audi R8, four motorcycles, forcing an assistant to go take a safety driving class that one of the Wellers was ordered to attend/pass after getting a traffic violation driving the aforementioned R8, a $13k Vegas trip, going on a world tour, $2000 strip club visits, making investors and donors pay for everything (rent, phones, tablets, new apartments etcetera, in addition to everything else mentioned). lol, just lol.
