Sadly, I have never given this topic much thought since I was always too young to properly understand what sales numbers means and what not. Nowadays I kinda stay away from it because it's super easy to step into the console wars territory. But! I have to say it's been kind of amazing being a somewhat solvent young adult during the Switch lifetime, as I've been able to afford by myself everything I wanted during a golden age for Nintendo. During the 3DS era (and anything before it) I just had to be contempt with a gift here or there, or simply not being able to get on board with the current generation. With the Switch I've been able to experience it all firsthand and it's been amazing to see just how about *everyone* got into it as well! And I think that's related to just how much that thing is selling.

I think the switch will beat the ps2 all the switch needs to do is hit the yearly sales estimate and sell like the ds did after the 3ds. There's a 50/50 chance of the switch hitting its target, and a likely possibility of the switch having a sales life similar to the ds.

Switch 100% is. Nintendo plans sell 13.5 million more consoles by march 31 2025. Nintendo has never missed it number in switch era. Put it at 154 million. Only need 6 million to outsell Jim Ryan 160 million claim. 3ds sold 14 million in switch era. Switch also never had a real price drop. I been saying this since 2020 it would be late 2025 when it passes ps2. Why would someone buy a switch in 2 era? It going to be cheaper. People underestimate broke parents buying their kids games for Christmas. There always new kids every year. Pokemon ZA a switch game still, pokemon sell console.

PlayStation 5 is selling slower then PS4. And Sony even failed hit the number they put for the year to target.

Buddy please pop your bubble and go check the actual financial reports. As great and cool the system is, the PS5 is by all accounts a failure sadly, it hasn't been able to reach target numbers, it has a ridiculously small exclusives list and is already trying to push out system revisions. The "real gamers always prefer Ps" argument is so tired and old man, get on with the times. Nintendo has been dominating ever since the Switch came out and Sony is shooting themselves in the foot by allowing their exclusives coming to PC. People are actively avoiding buying the Ps5 because they know that games like Horizon or Ghost of Tsushima will be playable on their expensive PCs in a couple years. Truly, PLEASE, just do some research.
