What was Disney thinking closing their movie club forever? Please make them stop!

Dang.. That's surprising but it's understandable. Either way, I love your collections of movies! :D

I'm not surprised that evil corporate mouse is doing this. Some people do not see the value in physical copies.

I feel streaming only is horrible for the movie industry and for the viewing public. For example, Netflix has about 6,000 titles to stream in the US currently, with half of them being their own production. Their DVD service had 100,000 titles people could rent. Now, people have a much smaller library to choose from. Even with all the streaming services combined, it won’t match the physical media library the DVD rental service Netflix offered. I have one of my fave movies on DVD… Mother, Jugs, and Speed. I tell others they should watch it… but when they can’t stream it, they decide it is not worth it for them to buy. It is not streamed anywhere. That is one example of many. Streaming should offer much more titles than are currently offered. It would require movie companies to be OK selling a movie to a service, and then take a small fee per account watching it. Instead, I believe they ask for a monthly or annual fee for the right to stream it.

The one DMC exclusive I missed out on Was Freaky Friday (2003). That's the only one that I had sitting in my cart and wanted to buy. But when I was ready to buy, it was gone. At least Freaky Friday isn't going for much on eBay iirc.

What will happen to the exclusive releases?

Surplus stock will probably be sold to retailers. Some DMC exclusives have been found in Walmart recently.
