That looks great!! I believe that the insert on the 207 is coated with ceramic, as it still has a bit of a shine, but not fully ceramic like this one you used. Learning a lot, can’t wait to finish up mine!

I have the original spb207. Got it new for 850 euros with 2 y warranty so its a good deal on an anniversary and for me the best good looking Seiko diver watch. 1400 euros is too much for this... Your work is amazing. With the 185 silver bezel its a great combination with the black/green dial. Also with this cerâmic bezel. Contrats!! This is a new level of Seiko modding

Absolute improvement. I really dig the look of ceramic, as well as the add resistance it offers. I cannot say which I prefer though.....glossy ceramic, or it's more muted cousin, matte finish ceramic. Like that of the Rolex, "Sub," a.k.a. cerachrom. Great demonstration as usual

Thanks a lot for this video. It came just on time, as I was considering a mod using the SPB case (I already have a SPB207, and I love it !). So, knowing that this bezel can accept the SKX insert if very good news. I suppose that the bezel itself can also be replaced by a SKX. I have more hesitation regarding the crystal. For the moment, I'll keep the flat saphire crystal installed on the case by the supplier. More safe to be sure that it's still water resistant.

The bezel itself can't be swapped for an SKX one because the bezel pattern would interfere with the case. The SPB207 bezel goes a bit deeper before the bezel pattern begins. I never checked the dimensions when I had it off either but I'm sure it can't be swapped.

Hey mate! I LOVE your videos, keep up that great work! One quick question: Is the bezel you linked in the description still exactly the same one you used? (Outside diameter: 38 mm / Inside diameter: 30.6 mm). Looks not that glossy on the ebay pictures. I want to do the same with my SPB - so i'm looking for the same look you showed here :-) Or perhaps an alternative bezel thats made for the 185? Greetings vom Bavaria :-)

Yeah, it's the same one one. Its just the lighting the use for the pictures that makes them look less glossy.

You should do a build of an SKX009 with the pepsi bezel but OEM+ maybe a nicer Dial(still dark blue with skx style indices), ceramic insert, nh36, and sapphire crystal. Maintain the classic look of the 009 but with higher end parts. The only reason I am asking this is because I am itching to do a watch like that myself but I cant find a 009 for a decent price xD

I have a heimdallr mm300with eta 2824. You think i can swap the dial for a seiko dial?

If the dial diameter of the eta 2824 is 28.5mm like the SEIKO movements, if the hole in the center of the dial is large enough to have the center post (that you put the hands on) come up through it with enough clearance to get the hands on properly, AND if the date window lines up. Although its probably unlikely that the date window will line up, so unless you use a "No date" dial you wouldn't be able to use an actual seiko/nh35 dial. If you tried it though, you'd need to remove the dial feet of the SEIKO dial and use dial dots (double sided adhesive) to stick it on. But you may find there are eta 2824 dials that are seiko branded if you want to make things a bit easier. But I'm not familiar with that eta movement, nor have i tried this myself. It would be a risk, especially if this was your first mod or something. My recommendation would be to see if a seiko movement fits in that MM300 case. Since its a Heimdallr, i can't imagine why they'd make 2 different cases for 2 movements, so chances are it would fit an NH35/NH36 in there and then you could get a seiko dial and hands to go on it. But again, it would be something to experiment on. So if you really want a seiko dial on it, do it at your own risk.

Thanks very much! I hope it goes well. I haven't had any experience with Miyota movements since I tend to go for the NH builds. But you can't go wrong with looking on AliExpress for Miyota parts, I'm sure there are a lot of options to choose from, just make sure you don't go to cheap on the hands or dial, since you'll get better lume if you spend a bit more.

There might be a green version of the one I featured in this video out there somewhere. I'm almost sure I saw an option for a green one when getting this black one. Although there are plenty of green Sloped ceramic bezel inserts out there that fit the SKX007 that would fit into this in the same way (not perfect but good enough). Only thing you can do is order a few of them (on places where they're cheap like eBay or AliExpress) and try them out.

They can, although it leaves a gap between the edge of the bezel and the crystal. It also might be slightly raised up depending on the insert you use. I did try one and it fits, but its not ideal. I'd say its worth a try but don't expect it to be a fantastic fit.
