Since the Duets concert hall had all those seats and more than 8 players were allowed at the same time, I was expecting a concert; not on the level of Aurora but something that filled all the seats. Also, that hall had a definite night club vibe so I was thinking maybe we’d get some soft jazz and more than one song for the concert. I feel that my expectations are in line with the venue they presented to us and because of that, the end of that season fell flat for me.

The riddles They don't even show up for me when I go there, such are the bugs that are happening now... But the candles were related to the big bug that occurred a few days ago where several players were stuck at home and were unable to play for approximately 4 days. That's approximately 80 candles.... And they paid the equivalent of just one day. (a day not complete yet.)

To be honest, it's the reason I quit the game. I spent my first year just grinding my ass off but with all these events and whatnot, I figured "Was it really worth it anymore?" I mean yeah sure I DON'T need to. I can just enjoy the game as is but like, if not to grind for candles, what does this game even have to offer me anymore? Maybe lore but even then, it's sparse and not direct and with the upcoming Moomin seasons coming up, that doesn't even have to do with Sky as a whole. As someone who planned to write fanfiction about the game, I can just read up on what's relevant about the upcoming seasons and implement it from there. What does the game have to offer, other than friends. (Unless you're a solo player like I was.) And let's be real, the only reason why TGC is making the Moomin collab anyway is to get more players into the game as a quick cash grab. It's what happened with The Little Prince and also Aurora collab. Players will leave once there's no relevancy anymore. I've seen it. They need to realize that the players who do stick around, the ones who will play their stupid game are the ones who are willing to grind on candles and they are literally driving them away with these back-to-back events that are causing burnout. Idk, maybe that's just me. I'm just bitter that they changed the old fireplaces. I miss being able to sit there and enjoy the rain from the forest while just being able to collect wax without having to move around few seconds just to burn those wax balls. And to those who are defending the company, GURL be fucking for real. It's a literal company. If they wanted more money anyway, they should invest in making NEW games to have people buy. Not milk children dry out of their fucking savings. They currently only have like 6 games, only 2 are popular and literally are copies of each other. While the rest legit follow the same 'calming and peaceful' style of gaming. And like, they have so much potential, I mean have you seen the concept art for the Sky game? They could have done so much more with that, only to shave it down to the bare minimum because they wanted to make it compatible with mobile players. TGC need to step up or they'll be the ones raking in the losses soon. Sorry if this was long, it's something that has always pissed me off about TGC and oh boy I had things to say.

Totally spot on! It was Aviary that did me in. It felt like this was the Home they wish they could have had at the start, so now they make it now, but it's too big, too spread out, too complicated. I switched back to Old Home and I'm much happier. Dudes at TGC, _just make new games!_ Don't just tack on your new ideas to Sky.

It WAS supposed to be in the original game concept but was ultimately scrapped during the early launches because they wanted it to be compatible with Android users (Apple products were capable of withstanding the older versions to my knowledge, might be wrong) There's a KZbinr here called Tara's Sky Journey that has footage of the old aviary during its beta release with footage from all the way back from 2018 (Posted in 2020). It's not the same but still very similar. The video is called 'Sky Beta Memories: Our Beloved Aviary' you can see the similarities.

As someone who farms 20 candles every day, 15 candles was really a kick in the face for missing 5 days of gameplay (which adds up to still missing 85 candles after the comp) due to bugs 💀 I’m one to very rarely complain about this game, and some comp is better then none, but it feels really- I dunno, like TGC is saying “god just shut up already HERE” and calling it a day rather then actually caring about their players. But they’ve been known for that for the last couple years now. As someone who’s been around since first release, it wouldnt surprise me at all if TGC retires the game by next year

The chevron just let's people more accurately track about how many they've collected this far in the day. Tgc crippled how many candles we can forge daily & dragged out how long it takes to get the full amount by making each progressive ball of wax collected count a little less each time. It's not the chevron, it's tgc that's the problem lol

@@NoNames-vw3bq Not defending TGC on any level, but the chevron system is responsible for the fact that there’s a cap (more or less) on the daily candle output. Prior to the system, I did not even need to do a full run of every realm to reach my 20 of the day. That meant that, in addition to the new seasonal areas that offer more wax (albeit not as much as they used to like they did for sanctuary and enchantment), the extra realms would have added up to possibly a good few more candles. And that’s not to mention some new events that offer more wax (like sunlight and moonlight), which gives a substantial amount unless you add it onto your gauge after it turned grey. The each ball of wax offering less is part of the chevron system. Each level designated how fast candles can be filled. The amount of wax isn’t dependent on whether it’s the 55th or 56th in the sequence, but on the chevron level. The first five candles part of the first level and are earned at the same rate, the next five are part of the second level and earned at a lower rate (but still the same speed as applied to their level), and so on. Tgc is the problem, yes, but the main problem is their decision to ever implement the chevron system.

There’s a reason I dislike the chevron system when it was first announced and even till now. Most people when they saw it thought “oh faster cr”, but they don’t realize that “fast” only applies to the first 10-15 candles, and makes the rest of the run harder and much more longer. I was very vocal with my friends about the whole hidden agenda of TGC to put a daily limit on candles, and the plan to make the whole candle run sequence longer while hiding behind their “it’s faster at the start” campaign. Of course nobody in the community listened when I posted it on Reddit and look where we are now. I say that they got what they deserved for actually naively believing in TGC. I grinded thousands of candles over the years so I’m doing well, can’t say I really feel bad for anyone except the new players that came after the chevron was implemented.

@@thatspellcastkkid_7672YT Oh no, it’s a thing that’s been around for a few years now. You see those 3 ^ shaped arrows on your candle icon when you start off on Sky each time? Each one symbolizes a level. At the first level (with all three arrows) you earn candles very fast, then after you get your first five candles, one arrow drops off and you earn candles slower. The speed drops with every arrow that disappears. At no arrows, you head into gray candle mode after earning 5 (your 20th candle), which soft caps your max candles for the day. It’s difficult to earn anymore than 21 and that’s if you grab every single wax location.

The more arrows you have, the faster your candle meter fills up. Every time the day resets you'll have 3 arrows, and after you collect 5 whole candles the arrow bar will drop by 1. So when all 3 arrows disappear you've essentially collected 15 candles.

I feel betrayed after I looked into the sky wiki... I think everyone got fooled cus tgc told us the chevron system would help us collect candles with lesser wax, which is true but only for the first 10 candles. After the first 2 arrows disappear the number of wax you need for each candle actually increased from 150 -> 178 wax😔 Before you only needed 3000 wax to get 20 candles, but with the chevron system you'll need 4195 wax if you want to collect 20 candles now. With so many events back to back, I feel pressured to do full candle runs every day, and even then, I don't have enough candles to buy half of the cosmetics they offer :/

Oh boy, they should have given more compensation. Around 40-60 candles. There are legit people who collect all 20 candles in a day. There is no reason why they shouldn't do it. "It's a compensation, don't expect free stuff" is ridiculous given its the game fault for having those server errors and they should make up for that regardless of any reason as to why it happened. It's almost like they want to be in this plausible deniability of "acknowledging their game is grinding" or "it's not necessary to grind and players are stupid to be greedy for cosmetics"

Ah my sweet summer child, I remember real FOMO when android released on Tuesday and Thursday a 190 candle travelling spirit returned, giving us 6 days for players unable to play due to platform support to get 190 candles, though the chevron system didn't exist, there were way fewer candles available, as it was only the "main" maps, no seasonal maps had been added at that point. All days of events cost candles and hearts too rather than a seperate event items. I have since learnt to embrace the mothiness, things will come, and come around again in time, tier rank the things you really enjoy and focus on them, just filling the wardrobe isn't satisfying in the end, time with friends, and their stories are what we will remember after we leave, or the game leaves us. 💜

I'll be honest, fomo broke my drive to get cosmetics. Now, unless it's something that really speaks to me (like the cello, I'll be honest - sky has been overdue for another bass instrument), I just won't try to get it. As an example the shattering ts there are only selected things that I like. I know what I will wear and things that will just sit in my closet forever. The compensation was ok but not enough. I Relate a lot to that I came back years after first trying the game in 2019 and after seeing myself being a moth while everyone was dripped I kinda felt like I left out on a lot. The whole feeling went away when I looked through the wiki and saw not only what each ss offered but also the ts appearance timeline. Now I've picked a wishlist for the outfits I want to have and have a rough estimate on how long it'll be until the ts comes back so I have 0 FOMO. It feels most of the beta players feedback is useless most of the time eother coz, as one of my friend says, most beta players are just playing for the free cosmetics, not for feedback or TGC doesnt listen to feedback many times. Also. I think. players give TGC too much credit for many things. So accept the wrong things TGC does lightly. Maybe coz most players are kids and dont understand what TGC is doing. I am an older okayer who saw gaming from the 90s etc. I know gaming as an industry has changed a lot. With IAP being the worst stuff. But for a game which says that they promote community etc, for them to become more abd more like genshin feels stupid to me. Thankfully the okayer base was fed up with all the crap ubisoft pulled. Maybe coz the player base is older and knows more about how downhill the game is going on.

honestly the "grind" isn't even that bad, lets just say u got 15 candle each day, taking approx 30 minutes - 1 hour to do it, u will got 90 candles in 6 days, less than a week, which is shy of getting on of the cape that cost total 95 if u havent played the event, and just 80 if u have, so TGC have give us enough time to buy atleast 1 of the more expensive item, and that with zero candle on the start of the event ( and 15 candle each day ) so i dont think its expensive at all, if u could get everything in one week of grinding there is no fun in it. there will be no feeling of reliefs or joy when u finally got that cape/cosmetic u want after hours of grinding. unless u have severe FOMO then that's a different story....

I think you're a rare case who enjoys countless grinding despite doing it for years. Trust me when I say, grinding will get monotonous and it will suck out the joy of getting those 2 items out of 100 other items on display in 6 months.

@@johnathan1506 TGC is not a charity company, cosmetic will not pop out of nowhere in ur inventory if u didnt do anything. getting one good/"expensive" item each week is already good enough, again if u think its not good enough, you might need to check ur FOMO. u doesnt need to get every single item, and the game def isnt forcing u to do that too.

@@Clmrn I get you're comparing this game to other games with gacha. But this game isn't like those so I am not sure why others would think the same way as you do? This game is very simple. The main story (which is the main focus of the game) gets over in 6 hours and side stories (seasons) can easily be done in a week or two. The only thing that keeps anyone playing this game is cosmetics and I believe tgc is overrelying on customization items and overestimates the patience of players for these cosmetics. However, if it works for you, great then. I can see where is your patience and perspective coming from.

2:00 i farm 20c every day and it does shorten the time by a little bit, but mostly depends on what realm the cakes are in. prairie or forest cakes shorten the cr by like 30 minutes!!!

i personally think we should boycott sky.... or at least the IAPs. I dont really care if its because they're adding more and more or whatever, they genuinely are way too overpriced. all ive ever seen are people being upset or disappointed at the prices and the newer seasons, so perhaps we should actually do something about it?
