@@anombrerose6311 I saw him around 1967/68 when I was in junior high. He was appearing g in the Carson and Barnes circus, singing a cow boy song on his horse.

Same here Re: Sky King, "Fleagles Wagon Wheel Airport" @ end of rd's Section & Whiteford about 1/4 way from Whiteford dwn Section was Their Lil airport.. My sis,Penney & I used to watch the planes land & take off, then there was a time when 4 very noisy yellow navy planes landed, gor refueled then LOUDLY took okk again, THAT was thee high point of OUR time in our lives..but thought of that tv show...

Penny, no preflight..? ❤ gotta at least check the oil and fuel..😅 this was before the Cessna 310B..great show!! I watched these with my Dad back in the day..73 now..that show influenced me to learn to fly and by an airplane..1974 Piper Warrior was my first airplane, bought it at Danbury Airport in Danbury Connecticut..a great airplane..miss that Songbird!

Used to big a big fan of this show as a small kidm it was the airplane that got me interested. Who knew I would have a relationship with. Girl named Penny later in life :-)
