They will change the configuration to suit certain carriers and lock it down, usually they make it the same all across the board.

It’s based on the security patch, for this model it’s the method I used.

I just want to be perfectly clear. Before you start anything are you suppose to remove the sim card?

The part where you say that I have to press the button down and button to turn off the tablet, for some reason that technique doesn't work for me. What can I do?

Your volume down button doesnt work? Is your tablet off first when you attempt this? I can try to help you but need to know where your starting from.

This was either a customers device or one we purchased from a customer that forgot their login details.

It was not working for me the way you have here. I had to hold up, Down, and power then lift up power.

As I stated in video there are a couple of methods out there I tried and none worked for me. This I found is what worked for this tablet

Make sure you inserted it properly, second thing to try is another SC to make sure either the sd card is bad or sd reader is bad

1. I'm talking about a SIM card not SD 2. there's only one way to insert the SIM card if you insert it in the wrong way it will be ejected all the time instead of locking in place 3. I tried a couple of SIM cards non being detected

@@Andy-te6jj A couple of things you can try, lightly scratch a new surface on the sim card, reset the network on the tablet. Since you already tried a new sim and none are detected, maybe the sim reader was damaged. Sometimes you can shine a light and see the sim teeth, check to see if any are broken or out of place.

i have 1 skypad10max and when i press vol down and power button, later apears other screen, is factory mode with auto test, manual test, item test, test report, debug test, clear storage, version and reboot, never shows "wipe data/facroty reset"

Try to follow my instructions correctly, press and hold power first for 1 second then hold down volume down and let go of power when you see sky and keep holding volume down. Any other combinations will likely not work. If this did not work, there are other methods you can find here on KZbin.

Do sky pad 10, skytex sky pad 10 and sky pad 10 max have the same firmware, i.e. the update is the same
