A little bit of nostaliga - Sky TV idents from 1995-1996. This was 'ye old days' when you could make a cup of tea in the kitchen and never fear about missing the start of your favourite shows because you could hear an ident intro for the show that is clear and instantly recognisable.

Was a channel that showed classic sports matches etc, lasted about a year

These were very poor compared to the 1993 set. Crazy that they abandoned them after only 2 years for this set. After this it only goes even more downhill.

Will never understand, why they weekend there IDs with this lame, cheap-sounding sounds. The IDs bevor that where great, why chance them?!

Sky The Movie Channel could have been Sky Movies 2, I wonder why they decided on Sky Movies & The Movie Channel?

I think they took over one of them and just stuck sky on front of it

@@jonmchamburger One was owned by British Satellite Broadcasting but that merged with Sky to become BSkyB, I think they just simply left it as "The Movie Channel" as it was under British Satellite Broadcasting rather than changing it to Sky Movies 2.
