What was she suppose to do? News become less casual as the day goes on. Morning news you can act a little jokey because everyone is tired and need a pick me up, lunch news you can banter a little with the news guy, 6 o'clock news has the most watchers and is snappy to get all the important news in, 10 o'clock news is very serious as its aimed at the people who watch all the news broadcasts, even just before they go to bed. This news used to be the last thing broadcast on tv so it would literally be the last lifeline to the greater world before 6 the next morning.

Not in the slightest, mistakes happen all the time. About time they scrapped the archaic TV Licence

The car crash bit was timed so well. Simon is naturally a comic actor. Whenever he's on, I await a comedic or grumpy moment.

The newsreaders should play the empty chair to their strength. "Good evening. Breaking news, the British Broadcasting Corporation has been the first ever television studio to introduce invisibility into their live news. The service, introduced tonight, is a world's first. Some see it as controversial."

The biggest differences between a British news reporter and an American anchor is that whenever something goes wrong on the British news the reporter will try their hardest to keep a stiff upper lip, they will apologise profusely and try and be as professional and calm as possible. While a American anchor will laugh and make a joke about it to distract the viewers. 😂

I think British reporters do more of an "act" but American's are just themselves and are more entertainment than professional. So when a British reporter breaks you see their human side but American's just laugh

@@_banjato be honest it's just like any other job, like in retail you're supposed to just put your professional and friendly face on even if you're having a bad day so that's what British news reporters do. Personally I don't watch the news for entertainment or to watch someone's personality. I just want someone to tell me the news and get it over and done with.

American news has to keep people watching for the ad money but because British news is state funded they’re a lot calmer
@AshaNimo13 жыл бұрын
@@_banja nah it's the other way round. Americans try to be funny but they're not. British reporters are more entertaining and professional. I'm guessing you're american lol
