Sometimes the altitude hold makes the Scout fly like a rock skipping on water. Not sure why. On the other hand it can be put into full acro mode with adjustable rates just like last year’s GPS model.

The drone emits a WiFi hotspot and you’re supposed to connect to that hotspot (with your mobile device)… It is not an Internet hotspot...

Optical flow is basically a small camera at the bottom of the drone that is constantly analyzing the image pattern below it (or on the ground) and constantly trying to stay within it… This allows the drone to stay perfectly in place (without the need of other technologies such as GPS)...

Yes it is easy and durable, so even if you crash it a couple of times, it should be in good shape… Overall, this is a good time for drones (as the technology has made most of the common drones you can find now very easy to fly with features such as altitude hold and optical flow)… You will find that something like a Ryze Tello is also extremely easy to fly…

Perhaps try updating your Android version or reinstalling the app… Make sure you allow full permissions for the app…

The Journey is the more expensive drone with more features such as GPS, return-to-home, way points, etc.… The Journey will truly return back to where it took off from if it loses connection, while this one will not do that… It simply has no idea where it is & its position in space…

No, the drone already comes with its own battery, but if you want to fly for longer periods of time, it is recommended that you buy more batteries… Which is why you will find these Sky Viper batteries sold separately at retailers (such as Walmart or Target)... So that you can buy 2 or 3 of these and after flying for a while...you simply land the aircraft, swap-out the batteries, and then can proceed to fly for more time…

I personally liked the v2450 better… The surface scan feature didn’t add much to this drone and to me, it seemed like the previous v2450 was a little more aerodynamic and flew a little smoother…

Well fortunately now is a good time for beginner drone pilots (as the technology has made most common & inexpensive toy drones easy to fly). This is mainly due to features like altitude-hold, optical-flow, GPS, etc which make the drones very stable and almost hover perfectly in place (with very little input). If you are looking for a good, inexpensive beginner drone that you can find locally around town, you may want to try the Tello, a Parrot Mambo, or one of the small Propel quadcopters which are usually sold at Target or Walmart. If you would like to special order a good beginner drone online (from China), you may want to look into a Visuo, or an MJX, or Syma drone…

If there is an issue with the included charger, you can either search online or on eBay for a Sky Viper charger and order one (they are very inexpensive)… If not, you could simply just return/exchange the whole set and get a new one…

With a few extra dollars, you can buy a pack of batteries (that will fly around 10 minutes a piece) and so if you have six of those, you can fly for an hour (provided that you land for pitstops)...

A Micro SD card is only necessary if you want to record video footage. Otherwise it's not absolutely necessary. You can get the 32gig at Argos for around £12, should you decide you would like to record the footage to play back on your computer.

I have The Journey and it's pretty awesome for the price. About $75.00 online from Target. Instructions for the high tech features are non existent though. Had to learn these myself. You Tube has been of some help.

Try using only the video recorded onto the SD card (inserted into the drone)… Using the video that is streamed to the app is usually a bit laggy (due to the Wi-Fi interference and range)…
