Sky Watcher Esprit 120 ED / Unboxing and First Light

My first time out with the Sky Watcher Esprit 120ED and the Panther TTS 160 mount. This telescope is going to be a game changer for astrophotography.

You can do Astrophotography using a derotator on the TTS-160

Is the mounting plate included with the scope a 14" D plate similar to the one Skywatcher sells? I want to buy a second plate to sit above the scope and am trying to match size and color. Great video. Hope to have my scope by the end of the year or Jan.

That I am not sure about. Since I didn't buy it (it is on loan to me), I am not sure what comes with it or what she bought afterwards.

That would be the AP 130 or 155, but since both are impossible to get now, yeah that's a pretty damn cool telescope. Especially at that price...FREE. LOL. Can't wait to see what you can do with it. Would love to see some Saturn and Jupiter images from that thing.

You are a big man; Esprit 150mm or TEC 180mm could suit you better. Heavy? No. It will be good exercise and saving (no gym club). Now, mount that could be expensive. Ask your local government for education grant and get solid mount.
