Watching this vlog today brought back a Christmas memory of my Dad giving his 3 kids then all musical instruments for Christmas. He played fiddle and I know he picked out the guitar, organ and harmonica for us. He was so excited seeing us use them. Years later, two kids use that musical talent to make an income.

I was feeling fine. Then my voice went like yours, and a little tingle in my throat the next day. Tested just for shi#ts and giggles lol was negative for 3 days then on the 4th day I got a positive result. I was kind of shocked. Never expected that. warm water ( as hot as you can take it) fresh lime or lemon juice and honey works well for sore throats. lemon / lime juice and fresh grated ginger works well for colds as it is anti-inflammatory. hot water or as hot as you can take it

When I was living in Ohio, there were elderberry bushes down the road and we kids would go pick baskets full and our Mom would make elderberry pie and jam. I'll have to try those elderberry gummies. Your voice started improving as the vlog went on. My sister has also lost her voice (not Covid either) and had to work (in retail) on Tuesday. Lettuce prices here in Australia went through the roof a few months ago because of floods. A single head of Lettuce cost A$11. Thankfully they've come back down. Unfortunately more flooding throughout the eastern states means we are looking at shortages of other fruits and veggies, especially potatoes and frozen veggies. Most farmers have also lost most of their grain crops (due to be harvested in the next couple of months) because of the ridiculous amount of rain for spring here. Our rivers, creeks, lakes, dams and weirs are over capacity. Roads are closed because of water over them, potholes all over and sink holes have formed in some places too. Some towns that were flooded a month ago are still on floodwatch because the rain continues to come.

Kids medsn aren't short in the states, but they have gone up in cost. The shortage is a health canada screw up. They have known since August that this was coming cause the manufacturer was producing the amount based on last year and the previous years buying demand. Health Canada is in the process of setting up import from other countries

I went to Plattsburgh NY last week and they had nothing(it is a cross border city so maybe the other Canadians beat me to it?) Apparently we should get a shipment in this week since health canada FINALLY lifted the bilingual label need. This way we can get medications from the states. Pretty scary that even antibiotics are out of stock… my daughter has had multiple bacterial ear infections.. praying she does not have another one till they fix that

I thought of you today, Miranda, when I did my grocery order. If only there was a way to send perishables without a prohibitive cost! My Kroger deli just started carrying dill pickle brined roasted sliced chicken. Real chicken, not slimy lunch meat type. Oh my gosh! It’s delicious. You can definitely taste the dill pickle brine, but it’s not overwhelming, and the chicken its3lf is delicious. Wish you could taste it! Maybe next time you’re state side, look up a Kroger and see if they have it! Hope your voice is back to normal soon. Usually hoarseness like that is from a viral infection, which is probably what you’re recovering from. Just has to run it’s course! Much love! 💜💜💜💜💜

I heard the children's medicine shortage is because they for some reason aren't able to label the bottles is both languages. That's why there is no shortage in the U.S. Its a manufacturing issue and the need to be "bilingual" in order to sell here.

Glad you're feeling better,, tho not sounding better. I get the same way. Just so you know, I wholeheartedly believe in Elderberry. I've been taking Emergen-C Elderberry immune support gummies for about two years now and have kept well. I had read something when covid started about keeping immune system up. And so far do good. I haven't caught it and don't want to (by the way, I have not had any of those vaccines or flu shots and won't). Stay well, hope the voice comes back to normal soon.
