I enjoyed your video. It's great that you are helping out your daughter and her family by babysitting the grand-kids and preparing meals. I am 59 years old with limited mobility, mom of teen boys. We budget and try to save on expenses. Thank you for sharing. God bless.

I think there are more moms like us out here than we realize! My boys are now in their late 20s, but they don’t remember a time that I wasn’t in a wheelchair. I will eventually go back to Alaska but for now I think this is where God wants me to be. Keep up the good work momma!

I also meal plan for a month. I'll do a "big haul" of $200-300 near the beginning of the month then buy as I go for fresh produce and some dairy. I find it so much easier to spend time and money up front. I also can't not buy some snacks, so i appreciate you adding that in to your haul. I'm always shocked when i watch a video and there's no snacks! Impressed...but shocked.

I know my family well enough to know that if i don’t include snacks they will get into items that I planned on using for meals. I have seen grandsons eat a bag of shredded cheese at 1 time. So always easier to add it to the plan. I have a big wicker basket that I put it all in and they know that they can get snacks from there!

I will eventually do a video on how I make out the plan because otherwise we were repeating the same 6 or 7 recipes oven and over. When in Alaska, I map out the entire Winter at a time to avoid having to get out to the store as often.
