One of my fave hip-hop groups and one of my fave songs. Even when I wasn't even a teenager yet and Digital Underground appeared in the movie Nothing But Trouble as my dad and I were watching it on TV, my dad knew who they were lol and he doesn't listen to hip-hop. That really surprised me. Shock G is buried in Dunedin, Florida by the way. Coincidentally, I had just got back to Indiana from a vacation in Dunedin when the news of his passing broke. I have made it my mission to visit his grave the next time I am I'm Dunedin.

I saw them live and it was fantastic at the House of blues in Hollywood. The first time I heard digital underground was a song called do what you like. You should look it up. You’ll love it. It was a tragedy when he passed away. I’m so glad he’s being rediscovered by wonderful people like yourself. Well done.

This was definitely one of those songs that appealed to all kinds of people. It’s just so catchy! If you want a hip hop suggestion, try “Debo” by Tobe Nwigwe. Fun fact !! Tupac Shakur was one of 3 DU background singers for D. I haven't read any of the comments here so I don't know if someone else told you first. His stage name is SHOCK G. His birth name is GREG JACOBS. There's a video, some say his very last one, of him apologizing to a woman named AMANDA RUSHING for something he did and/or said to her way back in the day when she was 19. Amanda has a YT channel, and she said Shock G asked her to share that very video of his apology. REST IN ETERNAL AWESOMENESS G !!!!! ❤️😭😎
