Here is my review of the Viso II+ altimeter from Larsen & Brusgaard. This skydiving altimeter is one of the most popular amongst skydivers.

"Yes, the Viso II+ comes with batteries."

"The Viso II+ is water resistant and not waterproof. It utilizes an air filter (the white line on the side of the unit). If the filter becomes wet (for example after a splash in the swoop pond) then let the VISO II dry in a warm place for 48 hours. The air filter must be replaced if jumping is resumed quickly or if the VISO II has been completely submerged into water."

⚡⚡Do you have a Viso II digital altimeter? How do you like it?

I've been jumping with my Viso II+ for about a month now and find it much easier to read vs an analog altimeter. My only complaint is that I can't remember the 64 button combination to turn the thing off!!! I even tried the secret Contra code once just to see if it would work: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start ;)

Hey the "how-to" video for the Viso is out: bit.ly/2Hgk0K6 And it's actually: Press middle once, then press & hold, then release, press 5 sec, press 11x, then both arrows at the same time for 5 sec. Now your Viso is turned off. ;) hahahaha

Sam Yost dot button, wait for lock to disappear, when lock is back hold dot, when lock disappears, release dot. Once you’re in that menu hold dot for 5 seconds. Then you will be in setup. Press dot 10 or 11 times. Can’t remember which one exactly. On the 10th or 11th time off will appear on the screen. Once off is on the screen hold both arrow keys at the same time. A countdown from 4 will begin with beeps. Once it counts down, the screen will scramble, release buttons and it’s off 🤟🏻

I heard this is one of the best, but mine (brand new when I bought it) froze after 30 something jumps, it froze at 3 different jumps, on 4.1k and 4.3k which was pretty terrifying... be careful

I love mine, but hate that it doesn’t record hop n pops. If it recorded hops, it would be hands down the best.

You mean that it doesn't track the jump when you do a hop & pop? That's weird since mine does... As soon as the plane takes off and that the viso enter in an airplane mode, it should count it...

Skydive Vibes yes, when doing hops and you pull within 3 seconds, it doesn’t log the jump. Still works showing altitude, just doesn’t log the jump.

I jump in Poland, and I use "Viso II+". But, check L&B "Ares II" altimeter!

ItsKevinDuh Hey, based on my experience it really depends. When you’ve time, place in load and good weather - I do around 10 jumps per day. But it really depends on above mentioned things...

Just like Jiri said it depends. I know the most I have personally made is 8 per day. It also depends on your budget. ;) Why do you want to know?

All these Viso2 videos play for about 15 seconds then stop. Every other video plays just fine. Anyone else having this issue?! Its not my internet
