This song reminds me of both, my relationship with alcohol & my relationship with my husband. I'm a recovering alcoholic, haven't had a drink since 04/05/2011. Married my alcoholic boyfriend in October 2005, but we lived together since July 1991. He's still an alcoholic, who now has COPD. I have Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, & clinical depression... My husband's favorite phrase is to tell me to get over all of it and move on. Like I hadn't ever had that thought. Alcohol was my escape until after decades of drinking it started becoming my undoing. I turned 41 shortly after I stopped drinking, my husband started going through I guess a mid life crisis or maybe he was always like that but I was always too drunk to notice or care. I went through an extremely bad depression and my husband, instead of helping me, started becoming more & more mentally abusive --- I won't go into what he would say bcuz I don't want to trigger anyone.
