Would recommend for beaver island you could build the underwater farms for cattails and such instead of "more patatoes". Would raise the well being of the beavers!

Just started this video, and maybe should have left this message on the last video since I assume most of the building will be done, but... I'm seeing a lot of hunger and thirst warnings on your builders. What if you added a small water tanks and a small warehouse with carrots (or whatever food you have the most of) to your building site? This will mean they don't have to run all the way back for food or water and will keep their happiness number up throughout the day. You could even add a decoration or two (roof, shrub, etc.) to that area for even more points. Loving the videos, great to see you, as always!

It's not code like that for what I understand. Skye should reduced the work time per day. Therefore, the beavers could go back earlier, as they finish what they start, except building. They drop things when they're sleepy, and another condition that I forgot.

The beavers will only use those when they are at the end of their shifts or in between tasks. Taking an hour off their schedule works a lot better. If you want your beavers to fully load up on happiness give em a full day off. Works wonders.

Sadly the ai in timberborn is not that easy (⁠┛⁠◉⁠Д⁠◉⁠)⁠┛. I really hope they update the ai sooner or later (hopefully sooner) because it is so shit and could be updated fairly fast, because its mainly input (building complete then next building,food or water warning then going to the nearest storage etc.), pathfinding and a bit of...sort of logical thinking, so that the beavers dont get stuck while building Something complicated

You can also put powershafts UNDERWATER [ maybe under the walking platforms] going to your island community. ( Reminder in case you forgot: yes beaver can build UNDER platforms without any demo needed)

Trouble with having everything as one mega district is that the beavers are not Banished settlers, they don't seem to move homes to live closer to where they work. I tried putting in a lodge for workers at a forestry I set up for treated planks one time, and one of the beavers that moved in decided they'd work as a builder back in the district center! Meanwhile all the forest workers came from lodges next to the district center....

I love how you're playing the game, ensuring you have everything at each stage instead of rushing the tech tree. One thing though, you've got perfect conditions to easily set aquatic farming, which would give a nice boost to wellbeing

Another funny thing about those 2 floor lodges, you can build them in 1 tile deep water and they don't mind at all. They only flood if the door goes underwater.

You might want to look at the beehives for your farms. Great series and amazing there haven't been deaths so far!

Only thing I can see is inefficient travel time. Beavers will pick up jobs far away and end up doing little work and spend most of the time travelling to and from home. It'll impact their need fulfillment and lower overall wellbeing.

It’ll be wildly inefficient. There is an awesome mod for housing management. They live close to where they work. Have you thought about a modded playthrough?

Instead of powering through the forest, you could bury the powerlines underneath the path that’s already in the forest and has to be there anyway. Saves you a little bit of space for the trees. You could also put a mechanical pump from the reservoir to flood that same trench and use as an irrigation system to have more fertile land ;-). Effective and space efficient, u use that all the time to have one power grid AND irrigation almost everything. It’s almost a shame you don’t get wellbeing points for irrigated lands ;-) to me it feels like beavers would be happier with green lands the whole year 🤪

Hey Skye, couldn't be happier to see regular uploads again from you. Your series is the only thing I actively seek daily, and it's better every day! One word of advice, when I did my hard mode play-through of this map, I ended up using levees and dynamite to cut sections of the river that weren't for storage, purely transporting water. The amount is saves on evaporation is insane, and I highly recommend it. Love the videos, thanks again!

Skye, 1 district beaver living on the island could be working at the furthest away job, the only drawback to one district for the whole area. multiple districts puts a distance limit on employment for the beavers.

I think you may want to put some small water barrels and food stuff storage near your power project. Your workers need fast food to keep up their bonuses and I notice almost all of them traveling so far need food or water. May help?

Have you considered making your Bevers wet? Cuts down on injuring, like shafings I'd imagine. Also: did you know that update 5 has improved dynamite that removed 2-3 levels at once?
