some buildings transfer power and some dont.... you can tell by the blue indicators on their sides that do..... power can also travel through the bottom and roof of the buildings so you can build a upwards power shaft and a windmill on top of it to increase it height so it fits between buildings or other obstructions... or directly on top of the homes.... or you can build them directly between buildings that use power if you just elevate them high enough to not be obstructed by the building... water does not affect the batteries it only stops on solid things. overhangs and bridges can be used to reduce the amount of paths needed on the ground freeing up more of the green zone for farming while allowing beavers to still cross the area (you can connect 2 bridges facing each other at the end of 2 overhangs making a 24 block distance take up 2 blocks of space on the ground and only go upwards by 1 space which is enough to plant crops under it.... tall crops require 1 additional level and trees one more than that ). you can use the overhangs to build over buildings you normally cant build on top of. overhangs can house the the farms and foresters and storages and such for more space to plant stuff but will reduce your beavers planting and harvesting range slightly a large water tank stores more water in less space than building a reservoir but you will need additional beavers in order to pump the water into the tank and for water dumps if you want to use it for anything else than drinking... but it wont evaporate over time in the tanks while in a reservoir it will... building storage closer to district crossings on both sides is the easiest way to have the beavers bring stuff across faster besides the multiple crossings option... also having the storages be either supplying other storages or requesting from them depending if its the stuff you are getting or transporting to the other district allows your haulers to do most of the heavy lifting of moving said stuff between production facilities and storages also if i recall correctly building 3 by 3 and 1 deep water holes at set distances and filling them with water provides more farmable land in relation to the amount of water used than building 1 block wide canals going across the area.

If you want to increase the through put of your crossings. Place stock piles on either side of the border so the transport time is reduced for the district crossing workers, and you can use the haulers of that district to do the longer transport in a more efficient way. As they can perform more tasks then just at the border. Great overview of this game and thank you for putting this out there.

Ah. I get what you mean. I’m starting another play through with Iron Teeth Normal and I’m gonna see if I can do better with these storages, especially since I picked a larger map. Well, that is if I can survive as Iron Teeth. We’ll see 🙃🍓

Thanks, the district tip was great, one I had no idea about

I have no clue what timberborn is, the algorithm works in mysterious ways.

Love Timberborn been playing it for a while, definately try Iron teeth they get a lot of different buildings and the play style is different. The water pumps have a max depth for pumping, for Folktails is 2 and 4 and for Iron teeth they get deep water pumps that can go to 6. Fairly early into the game once to have your water and food covered to survive through the droughts get a hauling post, These haulers take food, water etc from where it made to where it is needed or stored, this greatly increased effiency.

I did try iron teeth as soon as I unlocked it but the population management was so different, I did somewhat struggle haha. I do want to give it another shot just because of the hydroponic garden 😆 I don’t quite get the advantage of deeper pumps for drinking water, unless it’s later on in the game when you dynamites and stuff?

@@BerryCasualGaming The 2 factions another of the major difference is how they handle the bad water, the Folktails can shut it off and the end tech allow to shut the bad water off and able to pump it. While the Ironteeth get tech to allow bad water to flow even in a drought which is great for water wheels for power, this is very good on hard mode where droughts are very very long. The advantage of the deeper pump it allows you to place your pumps upstream of a large dam.

Yeah I never ended up shutting the bad water sources down in Folk Tails cause I had water wheels. Though I know, in iron teeth you can use wood for electricity

I didn't know I could like a builder game so much. Think the last one I played was Sim City 2000 way back in 2000. The beaver theme of this game is just so gosh darn perfect.

The beaver animations in game make so much sense too. I even put it on regular speed, zoom in and watch them do stuff. My favorite is when they're building and you see them gnawing on the wood 🦫🦫

19:30 Water does not count as solid for gravity batteries. Putting them on the edge of your reservoir is quite good; you've already got a deep hole that's not doing anything except hold water, you might as well use the space for power storage.
@BerryCasualGaming15 күн бұрын
I struggled with that lake reservoir actually... because it was deeper than other parts of the map so I didn't know how to make it function as a reservoir during drought. So it ended up being kinda useless other than making sure the surrounding area is kept watered 😩 at least it's useful for the gravity batteries and getting dirt for my mudbaths haha

You can also use TNT to make a deeper spot under the battery. This get you even deeper without building higher.

6:30 You built the wonder and have 41k science without Observatories? That's rather impressive. Silly, but impressive.

12:18-12:30, the words make sense! The district management looks so addicting. I might have to buy this game o.o You should try hard difficulty. I'm glad to see another video from you, Berry :]

It’s so worth it - it’s still in Early Access but it’s more than playable. Hard seems daunting but with more than one person recommending it… 😆 Thanks! 🍓

3:27 was kinda funny, that was a whole expectation vs reality moment and nice outtake😂, are you planning on doing a series or were you just asking the difficulty thing for your next personal save?, either way I vote hard cause it isn't me that's playing 😅

Hmm… it might be something that I record without audio and then just add comments during editing… It would take a while to make depending on how fast my beavers go extinct 🙃
