The youtube compression just makes it impossible to see the difference for rim lighting on chunks so here are high quality screenshots: imgur.com/a/U11VAOj

I really Like that you implement ideas that are inspired from other Games, like the Silk worm probably from modded Minecraft or the building that's kind of Like in Fortnite I like the mix of ideas and really appreaciate your Work cant wait for the next devlog.

Yeah I played a lot of games in my lifetime and I am taking ideas from those games which are pretty cool in my opinion and mixing them with a little bit of my own touch :P

BIG TREES and more of a variety of trees. And maybe down the line, add some lore to this game, similar to Minecraft. I think a cool idea would be getting to the very top of the world and you fight a boss, but each player can do it at his or her pace.

The player looks like he can hit enemies when they are somewhat far away from him. I don't know if that is intentional or not. It just makes combat too easy, which should be addressed to make the combat more challenging, strategic, and fun.

Nice approach for path finding. When you search shortest path, do you take into account that NPC should walk on something solid?
@haubna4 жыл бұрын
Yes that happens during the node creation. It checks if the voxel is water OR if it is air and the voxel below is solid if any of those 2 conditions is true we have a walkable node.

Is it possible to combine Minecraft-style square voxels with the smooth ones? You could have beautiful buildings and natural-looking terrain
@haubna4 жыл бұрын
It would be possible but there is no point in this. Other developers tried this already and it is simply not fun to build your houses with voxels like that. In Minecraft it is fun because placing blocks is not too complex but in a voxel world like this one it would be way too complex to build anything beautiful only with voxels.
@YouKnowNate24 жыл бұрын
There needs to be different building materials for more variety in buildings. Different woods (so different trees), stones (maybe carved), etc.

I enjoy the way how you implement certain games. But I don‘t like the idea of skeletons burning in the sun. In Minecraft I think it‘s just a way to get rid of enemies. I‘d prefer if you want the skeletons to die in daylight that they fall apart.
@haubna4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I thought about the burning part too. I think simply letting them collapse with ragdolls would be pretty cool (or letting the bones collapse).

Nice work :) Do you also consider to add other dimensions? :D
@haubna4 жыл бұрын
Yes! I wanna create a dimension below the clouds. Something like a boss dimension maybe. Not sure yet but I definitely want a dimension with strong monsters/bosses and great loot! Thanks for the patreon support! :D
@GuckGuck4 жыл бұрын
@@haubna Okay sounds nice, but what about not only one dimension but multiple dimensions? Each with their own boss and if you have defeated all of them you'll gain access to the final boss? :D You're welcome :) As already said, I can't really afford like 10$ or more because of the low income of the civil service, but i don't think that 3$ a month will kill me :D You just have to hope that the patients are generous with their tips ;)

@@GuckGuck I appreciate it! I like that idea. I will explore the dimension thing once the electricity part of the game is done :)

A little tip: Try to optimize A Star as much as possible. From my experience A Star can be a real pain in the ass Edit: Something like heap optimization
@haubna4 жыл бұрын
Already implemented a heap and all optimizations I know of. It takes usually less then 1 ms to calculate a path :)
