I hate to be that guy, but no the supercharged versions of old skylanders are absolutely different characters, just the same "character". None of them have the move set and a handful don't even share a single move with their original counterpart. I understand the criticism of reposes, but the supercharges were absolutely a step in the right direction, if maybe too late.

I agree, the returning supercharger variants are basically new skylanders in some way due to having different movesets and attacks

The sad thing about skykanders for me is I grew up with the game and watched it die a painful death. Thankfully I stopped playing right after swap force ended, but just recently I've been getting back into playing the first three games after finding my old collection and going on a content binge. Thats how I found your video as well!

13:30 this one should *not* count yes they are old characters, but they are all reworked from the ground up Stealth Elf is normally a close combat character in SuperChargers, she has a fricking minigun! Gill Grunt normally shoots an harpoon gun in SuperChargers he strikes with a trident

Skylanders Peaked on christmas day when me and my siblings unboxed the "brand new" swap force starter pack. I remember seeing the graphics and saying how real it looked lol. 2013-2014 skylanders was beautiful

This serie never deserved to be a failure, I really wish they could give another chance with a new game or a remastered compilation with all game in one game with every new Skylanders being compatible with the old Skylanders game and a special shop in game for buy any characters that we want in exchange of somes golden coin that you can get everywhere in the Skylands if they don't want to use anymore the portal and toys. Thankfully I'm glad that the community still made the serie alive with their own stuff just like me with my own 3D Skylanders animation with their models exported from the main games and the Super Smash Bros mods with the Skylanders characters that I made.

Honestly If they could Make a Skylanders Comeback in my opinion they should make a whole World Map 🌎like Hogwarts🪄 with a story that’s longer!👍Or at least a 2-4 same 🎮console similar to Nintendo switch with multi controller connection. Maybe even online matchmaking and game modes, where you could fight one another with the characters like call of duty matches with a separate story mode. My thing is the money aspect..💸they should bring it back to the Original one size from the first skylanders with 2 character bundle deal at least . Also lower the price of the Charecters IRL! So that everyone can enjoy buying most to all characters🧸 but if you like the game you can buy all characters with costumes or attributes in the in game purchases Section of the shop! 👏🏻Come Back Skylanders while Keeping it new and simple ! On a console we like Nintendo or PlayStation/xBoX maybe even Meta Glasses etc. I have confidence from the first creation of the first Skylanders Game. Creating a bigger Vision!🎮🧸

I was in my 20's already when Skylanders came out but I still got into it with Giants. It was a pretty fun game anyone could play. I played Giants, Swap Force and Imaginators. I really liked the gimmick in Swap Force. I kind of regret not getting all the Swap Figures though, I got like 75 percent of them. I have all the giants though. Only reason I own Imaginators is because I saw the PS4 starter bundle at 5 below for 5 bucks. Also picked up Crash Bandicoot and Cortex for 5 a piece at the same time.

Skylanders was my favorite game series growing up, so every time I even see the name I get super nostalgic so yeah loved the video. Swap Force was my favorite for the art style alone

I LOVED Skylanders! Unfortunately, the first game of Skylanders I ever played was Imaginators. However, I actually really enjoyed the game because most of the time I would use the older figures more than the senseis. If I didn’t collect any of the older figures and had to use the senseis and imagination crystals, I probably wouldn't have liked it. I remember how sad I was when I realized that I couldn't buy the figures at stores anymore, I was crushed by it! I still collect Skylanders whenever I can find them as I'm planning on going back to play the older games.

Idk where you are located but at places like Savers they will have some there on occasion for super cheap. Goodwill may have some at times but I’ve never checked

It should be noted that the only Toys to Life brand still active is Nintendo's Amiibo. Outside of Super Smash Bros, where they did function like their competition, they are simply a collectible based on beloved framchises. They're still made, and most Nintendo games have Amiibo functions even today. But Nintendo markets them as collectibles now

I think Giants handled monetization the best. You only needed one giant if you already had all the elements from the first game to 100% it. The reposes were helpful to anyone missing older skylanders. Also they let you reuse the first games dlc missions if you had them. No other game did that. Also Wash Buckler killed my ears but good video.

I myself only had 1 or 2 skylanders besides the "starter" ones you get in Spyros Adventure. But what I think made the game so good wasnt that you needed to collect all Skylanders. When a friend came around they brought their own ones. And we would let each other play with the other ones Skylander etc. so basically you didnt need *every* Skylander. And also since some of the Skylanders in Giants were reskins, they had backwards compatibility to Spyros adventure!! (I didnt play past the second game. I had spyros adventure and some friend had giants)

It's been a long time I miss these games on my ps3 and I played through both twice still my favorite was Sonic boom. However I'd say the worst part was beating Chaos's mom in swap force as it was tedious since you had to take one of your skylanders off the portal and then put it back on to continue. Also the double doors in swap force could also be open with 2 players using Skylanders of the corresponding element.

You see, when I was a kid, I love skylanders, I remember collecting them a lot. I love playing them and they were a lot of fun. The first one was my favorite giants was even better if I remember and swap voice was pretty good. The only one that I only know that I stopped collecting them was trap teams, which I was really bad with, I didn't really beat it and I sucked at trapping. Everyone because I didn't know which one was which honestly, and that's how it I stop collecting them.I mean, sad I don't collect them, but at least I remember the good times

5:54 OR if you don't the own the Swap Force with one of the require element, but you own a regular Skylander in one of the require element, you can plug a second controller and scan the Skylander as the Player 2.

One thing about disney infinity... we got the guardians of the galaxy bundle and the game was fucki g broken. On the first level one of the rails never spawned ever time we loaded the game so we literally never passed it. We looked up a tutorial and were baffled seeing this one climbable rail that wasnt spawning on our console.

I think skylanders could live in to gaming sphere. Like you say kids are WILL to pay 10 to up to 80 bucks for a digital skin in games now. They could just make the skylanders digital only. But amazing video anyway.

I actually really liked Disney infinity i never played the first one but 3.0 was an amazing game i probably put hundreds of hours into that game despite only having 6 characters it was super underated and even though i will always like Skylanders more its probably an objectively better game

i used to hate the custom characters, until i bought one of every element. the custom characters are the best part of imaginators, unironically. the game still is the worst one, but it has two saving graces. the other being the senseis.

I really loved these games, but they made so many skylanders that you'd spend sooooooo much money on all of it. I hated seeing the preview for other skylanders in-game and being a little upset that I couldn't afford them.

Yeah I’m getting back into Skylanders and I’m going to stop at Swap Force. I originally wanted to do trap team but it’s SOO MUCH MONEY and I’m in college ;-; My rule is no buying Chase Variants (cause like wtf no in game change) and no duplicates. I do have a green gill grunt I got for free and I bought S2 Cynder that works just fine in Spyros adventure. Other than that, I stand by my rules.

I only ever got into skylanders because of spyro- I'd had played every spryo game that had ever been made thanks to my dad- but I can confidently say he was my least favorite version of the purple dragon.

I just wanna point out Activision published the games and it's to be known Activision has killed franchises in the same way, for example guitar hero was incredible then Activision took over and ran rhythm games into the ground by constantly releasing guitar hero games.

I have good things to say about every game, but it gets hard near the end. Superchargers had a pretty good overarching story and would have been a fitting place to end the franchise. However the stupid requirement to _have a vehicle on the portal at all times_ was tedious. Imaginators… had some cool characters… I think. I didn’t really buy into it much. Golden Queen’s moveset is awesome and huge step up from her Trap Team version! …too bad imaginator’s level design was garbage. Also the story sucked. Also, the loot boxes. Also it was B O R I N G as hell. Literally couldn’t even get past level one on a second playthrough.
