SKYLINE DRIVE VIRGINIA ROAD TRIP

Last time I went to skyline drive it was on march years ago and halfway through my hands were freezing from the elevation. Once we got to bottom of mountain I was fine. The view was so beautiful.

Skyline drive is a beautiful ride. Those hikers you saw were on the Appalachian trail. The trail stretches from Georgia all the way to Maine! Its over 2500 miles to complete. Its called a thru hike for those who attempt it on the AT. I live about an hour and 40 minutes in the DC suburbs from Skyline drive and ride it a couple of times a year. I've also hiked parts of the trail. I'd like to do the AT thru hike but it takes about 5 to 6 months to complete. One day maybe.
